I really like your relocation idea's. I am glad to see someone agree with me on Vegas. Although I am definitly not opposed to the NHL shaving teams down. I love 2K7, but what I would like is a game like the MLB: Big Show coming out this summer. An exaggerated play at a game that I don't care for or really understand. A similar NHL game would encourage people that don't understand the game to play and possibly start to enjoy it. They tried it with NHL Hitz but I thought it was soft.

My thoughts: 1. Bring back fighting, I know I am a neanderthal. Fighting keeps the average fan enthusiastic about the game. Bottom line it is exciting and we seen less silly injuries when there was fighting. 2. Advertise, advertise, advertise. They had some good commercials this season but you barely seen them and if you did it was while watching a game, and hey we were already watching. It is hard to market players like the NFL and NBA does becuase (from my friend) a kid will not look at a Sidney Crosby commercial and be like damn I gotta have them skates. Sign stars on with gatorade, under armour, and things that everyday people would use. 3. Cut down the BS teams in the NHL. Some places were just not meant for a hockey team and some will say it is market expansion but if you don't give a crap about the team when they are there then why would it matter if they were gone. Pheinox (spelling), both Florida teams, and Carolina. I know t he later have a cup but farther then that who in there markets give a crap about thier team? Bring the NHL within 20-24 teams. I know this will sound silly but give Las Vegas a team. Could you imagine the hype? Beating? Greztky's wife would love it. 4. VIDEO GAMES. I know they already have some, but they are mediocr at best. Alot of kids will play Madden before they ever become football fans. Make good quality games. Some realistic and others kind of like the Baseball game coming out this summer. Just my thoughts... Oh and fire bettman. Just becuase he looks like everything hockey is not.... (sorry had to throw that in)

Well... This seem to go a bit astray. What I was trying to say is not wether they gave a crap about ours is that they cared so much for thiers! You go to a game here and you can barely get the beer guy from stopping to sell. I do remember at a Calgary game when Nixon died they asked for a moment of silence and the fans boo'd. I just assumed they thought the announcer said Bush.

Can you truly be considered for MVP if you allow six goals in 60 minutes of hockey? I know that some were not his fualt but is that not the definition of an MVP. Most VALUABLE Player??? Letting in 6 is not valuable no matter who's fualt it is. That being said I think Phillips should have been awarded the Con Smyth.

well I suppose I gave Emery to much credit.... No matter there still is 40 mins left so lets hope the Sens can pull thier heads outta thier butt. We can definitly be concerned that this will be the last hockey game of the season.

I looked at the pics and I may be wrong but to me it seems like neils skates don't leave the groung until they fell. I am not stating that he should not get suspended just that it is obvious that his skates did not leave the ground. IF I were a ducks fan I would be looking for every detail to find something to. Since I am a temporary Sens fan I say no suspension . Oh and Pronger if your own fans think your an idiot than maybe it is time to stop your teeth from acting out!

I agree. I think I am developing a bit of a man crush! I would venture to say he is my 2nd favorite goaltender!

No I can't find anything... Maybe he is the only one ever??? What? Bottom line is supensions should not be given out based on the time of year or type of player. Really one playoff games is exactly the same as one regular season in every aspect. So if I kill a guy in july I should be tried for murder but if I kill a guy at Christmas then I will only get an Assualt and Battery becuase Xmas is much more important then July and that time is more sacred and meaningful.... You truly disgust me.

I don't think they are comparing Rayzor with Dom and Roy as far as acheivements. I think they are comparing his playing style as to which I agree 100%. I have actually blown up the boards lately with this opinion. I stand firmly with my conviction, and I am a bandwagon Ray Emery fan.

I totally agree. I am not making an arguement that he is Dom or equal. I am not sure about Emery's future but I lik him much better then the pillow bag at the other end. I just enjoy watching him. The diving stick save tonight was awsome... I will put it this way. I am a bandwagon Rayzor fan....

I am not saying Ray is comparable to Dom but doesn't his style slightly resemble the king of elasticity? I know I have said this before but the WTF was that Ray? Reminds me of the Dom. Anyone?

Bettman, Bettman, Bettmen. Well I don't know much but are all the rules voted on? I am not sure that everything about the new game is bad, there are some things I really like. I don't like the eye for an eye theory where a team will get a penalty and then it will have to be even'd up with the other team. The biggest problem with the new rules is the consistancey of the officiating. The refs need to learn what calls to make and not make. Maybe they should just train all new ref's under only the new rules and then release the old ones. What do you think? I know it is not realistic but it might get things on an even keel. I don't mind the cap becuase appearantly Kenny is a mastermind and makes do. I think the wings benefit from the cap, why? Well becuase players want to play for Detroit, and will do so for less. While other teams that not alot of guys want to play for will buy one or two big digs for ALOT of money and never really build a team becuase players will always come and go. So the wings benefit from the cap. Bettmen screwed the pooch with the TV contracts, OLN, seriously. Hockey has been struggling for a while. What will it take? I guess we may never know.

I can't decide how to feel about this young goaltender. I watch the games and love his style, but is he just on a hot streak that will sadly end next year? Will he be able to continue and become great? I would just like to hear your opinions on this... To me his style resembles Dom's. Eratic and exciting and a hell of alot of flopping around. So my question is he the next BIG NAME or the next big disappointment???

Fair enough. Although I disagree. You can not win the cup but play like a champion, that is what I feel Emery is doing. They are home tomorrow and maybe that will spice up the offense a little bit. Hell all Ray has to do is go to shop.nhl.com and buy the replica Stanely, thats basically what Cam did!

I agree. I love his style of play. Giggy is a great goaltender but he is absolutly boring to watch. I love the flop style and the edge of your seat, not gonna save it, but then he does style of goaltending. I am not sure that makes sense but it seems right in my head.

I will clerify. Regardless of Stanley Cups. Ward was hot for the playoffs last year then stunk up the Arena this year. I am wondering if you guys spectulate that this could be the same ordeal with Emery. If you want to compare Emery and Ward thats fine but that was not the intent of the thread... Basically does Emery have longevity???

Were you watching the same game I was??? Cuase the game that was on in earths Stanely Cup Finals the last 2 minutes was a majority of ducks control in the ottowa offensive zone. The ducks completely dominated the game last night in every aspect. Emery was Ottawa's savior last night. He played magnificantly. I think also the second period there was 8:30 worth of whistle-free hockey, correct me if I am wrong. I think your arguement is dead. Just be very careful before calling someone a moron but your complete post was, ironicly enough, was moronic....
