I was at the game the other night and we just had a field day with the "intent" whistle. What a s***ty rule! I think it should be the it is my party and I will cry if I want to rule. The wife was pretty surprised when she came home last night from work and the chore list had not even been looked at, I simply said I can't be in trouble because I had "intent to do my chores." She replied with the "Intent to sleep good on the couch" rule.

At first I thought to myself, this must be a April Fool's joke. Then I open it and just realize that anyone is allowed a keyboard! Datsyuk is an invaluable player, one of kind and possible one of the best all around players in the world. It is always a shame to see fans calling for a trade for lack of production, the points need to come but there is so much more that he brings to ice. I just think the idea is purposterous. Just when I thought the education was getting better in the glove...

I could not disagree more. With DiPietrio I agree what a disaster, they overpaid him for far to long! With what Detroit and Chicago has done is lock up players that would get alot more money on free agency. Toews, Kane and Sharp man what a powerhouse move by the Brass over there! To me it shows commitment to winning. As far as Franzen goes it is a great long term deal we locked him down too! I think Franzen is a one of kind player just not in the capacity as Ovie or Crosby. He is a role playing power forwar with a great scoring touch. You just don't see that very often. I think the injuries and the season are making people second guess the management of the Red Wings. Not for me it is telling me how strong the management really is. We are short so many bodies but we are still staying quite competitive. We as fans are use to battling for the top seed overall as competitive. It is just differant this year. Back to back SCF appearances, 4 Cups in 11 years! Just amazing and we are still competitive. Franzen is a great player and a playoff beast, he will be back as soon as he can.

If not hoping for the best what would be the point in watching? By my count your time might be better spent doing other things? I can't give up the hope of success or there would be no point in being a committed fan.

^^^ I have been thinking about the East vs West thing lately. I totally agree that the West has more depth and this is off topic but I think we are starting to see the effects of the salary cap. The teams are definitly starting to taper off and equal out. Which it is what it is. I can always laugh to myself that the only reason teams like Pitt are good now is because the leauge has changed all of it's ground rules to cater to crap teams. I sleep well at night knowing that the Pens (among others) would not be even a discussion pre lock-out. BAM

The people that boo Bonds for the steroids and Bert for his mistake to me are just people that throw stones. Harold I completely agree! I actually think we have discussed it before. I highly dislike the shoot out! I have been against it from the get-go, unfortunately it is costing us points and we need to be better in it. I thought both Dats and Z were weak in it tonight. I hate that a point comes down to it but it does. This is our third we have dropped in the SO and I might be wrong but I don't even remember us scoring even once yet.

I have always been into the tough guys. Probie, Kocur, Shanny (sort-of), and Mac. Ofcourse I love the Y but thats what it has been for me. With so many years w/o a tough guy I fell in love with the two way skill of Pasha. Then he whopped Roberts ass in '08 and that was all I needed. My tough guy Dats!

It is amusing the whole story. I thought how could it get to this point. To be so angry at a team you have put years into and get nothing in return that the effort goes into trading alligiance. The guy was loyal or he would not have even offered it because he would not have had the thought. Then I think of how miserable the leafs have been, I even consider some lions fans. Interesting. I think it is really cool that it was for charity and he followed through with his allegiance. I do doubt that when he watches the leafs he does not have a tinge of hope. You can't sell that feeling. The Yzerman plaque is pretty sharp. I am surprised, the bud lynch is my fav though. I have so much 19 stuff but no bud lynch. haha. I bought my son the zamboni the day he was born. 19 months later the boy still sleeps with it. He loves hockey. God bless force feeding kids with sports!
