Chelios is still an asset to some other teams. Think of Chicago where there are a lot of young players. They need leadership. Cheli is still a good player. Bottom Line is this... Why would this upset anyone. If it does you maybe have not watched long or are just a casual fan. Or maybe you just watch until the season is done and it is over. When I heard the news on 97.1. I was thinking something what did they do? They most have sacrificed animals or something... Cause I knew in my head that almost everything had been done to the cup. So many stories we have heard. We don't know the truth of them but I believe most of them. Stanley Cup = Best ******* Trophy in the History of the World. (All though I bet the apache thought scalps were pretty sweet)

For me it is more of being a fan of the sport in general. I love the Wings. It is like a marriage. I love my wife but man there are times when other women look good as hell. Not like that fat girls you take home accidently after a night of drinking but really good looking women. I love to look at other women but won't sleep with them. IE I would not go to an opposing teams game or buy a jersey but I watch the hell out of some hot, sexy, curvy hockey! Plus I have Center Iice and the crappy online one. After a while of watching other teams you start to develop a liking.

I enjoy almost any team in the East. I am not sure why, I think it is the style of hockey is night and day between East and West. I know this is childish but I really don't like any team that plays where they don't have a winter. I don't think that is the whole reason but every time I have to shovel my walk or drive to work in the white stuff I hate warm weather hockey fans. It truly is as wrong as two boys doing the waltz, naked. My favs: Rags Washington (Yeah I joined the Hype) Philly (I like them mostly because the hat the Pens) Chicago... I think. Thanks man, I will go check it out. I thought for a second we would be missing them alot of the year next year. Further more. I don't think the Pens are a bad team. They are very good. Bad teams don't make it to the finals. Bad teams make it to the playoff's all of the time, even past the first round but never to the finals. Bad teams fall victim to the bad calls, bad bounces, and pressure. Only good teams make it the finals. Not always the best team but good teams.

The reasons we did not are many and up to the mind. You can blame injuries, piss poor officiating that resulted in atleast 2 goals, you can blame the conspiracy (if you believe in that stuff), you can blame a poor performance in 4,6, and 7 (my favorite) or you could even use all of them equally. No matter what injuries are part of the game and part of the outcome. If Sidney Crosby was injured for 4 of the 7 games and you lost in 7 what would you say?

That is very interesting. I knew that most of these injuries were there besides Z, Raf, Homer, and I don't remember hearing about Kops. Not that I don't believe you but I would like to look further into it, what is your source? How did they decide that 4 of those were season ending. Considering the season is 8.5 months long including Playoff's would'nt that mean that they would be out for a solid 1/3rd of the year???

Probably to start a good threa. Since all we have lately are "trade this guy for that guy" and "Hossa Sucks" threads. The pens fan sees that there are some smart wings fans and thought he would get an outside view.

The problem is that Detroit gets guys that want to stay there that can make more elsewhere. The Pens could do that, but first the Pens have to prove to the players that they will take care of them always. One thing the Wings do the no other organization at this time does is take care of everyone. It could be Hasek coming back, or Ozzy coming back or the way they take care of Fisher. Or even McCarty. There are more examples. With the Wings it is not about plugging holes it also has to do with great scouting and plugging holes with the youngins. Hossa and Conks were the only players they brought in, both played for less. Alot of the Playoff success came from the Griffins. The Pens have to create an organization that everyone in the system believes in and wants to be a part of. It is definitly more then filling holes. One thing the Wings have also done is to not make the entire team about one guy. The Pens have not done that yet, and it is not really thier fault as much as the media's. Everyone has to feel needed and loved and more people will want to play there.

Also... Here is what we know, Hossa has been offered a contract. Which means 1 or 2 players will be leaving the team. So a couple of your "untouchables" are very touchable... I agree though Raf and Homer and Draper and Stuart are not going anywhere, it is silly to even suggest that Stewie and Raf get traded. They are very good defenders. I wish people in the D were less wishy washy then they are now!

If Hossa accepts this current offer ofcourse I want Hossa. That is a good deal. I don't think he will stay to be honest, not for this money. I am a Hossa supporter but if he refuses, let him walk and go in another direction. I am more about the Wings than any one of them solitary. Now the other direction does not involve Shanny at all. I just don't get it man. We have the greatest team in sports. Yes this was very disappointing but not to bring on some comments... I am sorry my post may be offensive. It was just how I felt at the moment.
