Wild place Petr Sykora on waivers

http://wcco.com/wireapsportsmn/Wild.put.Petr.2.1435785.html We have great luck turning careers around. This is a natural goal scorer with lots of potential and for very low money comparatively. Any thoughts on should the wings pick him up and let possibly Leino go on waivers or someone else?

Larry Murphy becoming the VS announcer for FOX

Well see that is reassuring. I was hoping I was not the only one feeling like this guy should just either give up or go to the NHL network. He is already in love with them. I totally agree with his corny "how to play hockey" videos.
  3. I just had to throw this out, because I noticed it last year and thought it may have been a fluke. But Murphy has continued this year, even at a higher exaggerated level. Not that he is that great at commentary, but man it is becoming sickening. It seems Larry Murphy has become a yes man to Bettman and the NHL. I know he working directly for the NHL on their NHL TV network but come on. When garbage penalties are called and they are blatant make-up calls or just plain "New"NHL calls, he not only points out why the call "seemed" to be legit but always agrees with call, even when it is insanely bogus. Watching games that are played away from home and not having Mickey becomes difficult to to watch and have to listen to him. They need to find someone else when Mikey does not want to travel. Even when he is "between the benches" his comments are usally annoying and useless. He even attempts to even lick Bettman's ass and get a few words in why the crappy penalty was called. We will see tonight if I am wrong or not. What does everyone else think...?
  4. I mentioned this before but no one seems to want to give these combinations credit. Dats - Hank - Homer > Enough said... Calder - Huds - Bert >> Calder and Huds have had great chemistry and Bert adds size, skill, and the desire to play hard. Cleary, Lang, Franzen >> Cleary and Lang put up a lot of points before Cleary got injured, Franzen adds grit Malts, Drape, Flipper > Flipper adds the puck handling skill this line has been lacking and have already score twice when played like this together. Heck even Maltby scored when played together in this line from a great pass from Flip. Sammy carries the bags and gets the players a new stick since atleast 10 break every game.

What should lines be when all are back

Lang has been scoring and playing a tad better lately, but he still is just lollygaging out there. He does not dig for the puck and seems to be the last person accross the blue line. Unless he starts to play like he does not want to get traded, then i would move him to a 3rd line. His passing has been shotty as of late except for a few exceptions. He coughs it up on PP too often and holds on to the puck to long. Again I feel these are the best lines once everyone is healthy. 1. Dats / Zetterberg / Homer -> this is a no-brainer... Why break up the best line in the NHL 2. Calder / Jiri / Bert -> SEE BELOW 3. Cleary / Lang'r / Sammy -> Sammy will fill in the JW hole 4. Malts / Drapes / Flipper -> 2 Grinders and 1 puck mover. Have been playing very good together 5. Ellis / Mule / Booter or Kopecky -> Mule has just not been up to his game of late and Langfeld has had his chance. Line 1 - We want Goals... don't we? > Breaking these guys up would be loopy Line 2 - If Bert is up to his game, and plays hard like Calder, these 3 are going to be awesome. Jiri and Calder have been playing great together. I have yet to see Jiri make a bad move for such a young guy and he digs hard for the puck at 5'9. Keep giving Jiri the chance to show his skill and heart. Lang is just not motivated enough to be playing with Calder right now. It is almost like Lang is telling us, I will let Calder do all the work and sit back and watch him get ME the puck, I'm Robert Lang, I am not going for it. Line 3 - Lang and Cleary had the chemistry but JW just did not dig hard enough and Sammy or maybe Mule will Line 4 - These guys have been moving the puck together very well lately, especially with Flipper's passing Line 5 - These young guys come out every night and play like they have a fire up their butt. Can't wait to see them put it in the net and watch them go nuts. They deserve it for the hard work.

What should lines be when all are back

I am new to the forum but have been reading everyone's thoughts as of late. So here are my suggestions. 1. Zetterberg / Dats / Homer 2. Calder / Jiri / Bert 3. Cleary / Lang'r / Sammy 4. Maltby / Drapes / Flipper Possible 5th 5. Ellis / Mule / Booter Breaking up the best line before Injuries would be suicide - line 1 Jiri and Clader have been playing awesome together > Bert ... possible more tenacity than Lang'r Cleary and Lang'r and Sammy were playing great together before injuries Malts, Draps and Flip have been playing great together The Mule I think will play good with Booter and Ellis I think these 4 lines will put the most points on the boards, from watching them play together before all of the injuries
