When you have 2 good teams 90% of the time the game is decided by a bad bounce a broken stick a or bad penalty example( post season last year overtime Lillapus made a bad clear Salami pick the puck and scored) that was the defining moment of that series had he made a better play the Wings may have been in the finals the Ducks by no way dominated the Wings inthe postseason last year I highly dought they will this year go Wings screw Melrose his opinion is like a diaper usualy full of crap

I don't really care for Versus,with the Wings I believe that there was only 8 games on Versus this year so it really doesn't matter to me, but here is a thought why not FSN( Fox Sports Network ) if I remember correctly they have affilates in most of the major markets. Just a thought.

here is another one back when the league had its first lockout I was getting my hockey withdraws so I too k care of that by watching the JR Wings, my numnber got called for shooting the puck I think it was called score-o back then anyways the JR Wings were playing the Sarnia Sting which is owned by Ciccerelli sorry Dino, you guessed it I was wearing Dinos Jersey after I missed at my shot they took me and my daughter up to a private section and told us to weight after about half of the 3rd period was over I told my daughter lets go hes not going to show we get up turn around and there he was Dino signed the jersey, hat, and 3 pucks. The best one of all is the picture of my 3 year old daughter sitting Als lap while he redid the ice between the second and third period

Wow this is a good one my first item was a broken hockey stick given to me by Gordie Howe at the Mcmorran in Port Huron MI, Heres the story he did a slapshot during a scrimmage there and shattered the glass right in front of me, he skated over and made sure I was alright gave me his broken stick. The other one is a autographed stick by Wings Alumni back in the early 70s a few names I remember are Able, Lindsey, Libbet ,Klucay, Delvechio,Lynch and may have had Sawchucks name on there I recieved this from an uncle who was an honorary alumni, wish I new happened to that stick

check it out loook it up whatever but the plain fact is if you were planning to play for the Central Red Army team you had to take 1 year ballet and 1 year of figure skating, most of your power skating coaches were figure skaters, figure skaters are all about edges and you need to know your edges to be a good hockey player and in order to use your edges effectively you must have balance becuase if you dont have balance you will not trust your edges. one of the main problems with international womans hockey is they slow down the game so the lessor teams can some what compete with the better clubs

yes I do agree but that was 6 years ago and like I said the game is evolving in the states for the woman or girls at the ages of 22 to 18 there were not that many teams for them so most played on boys teams and were used as 4 liners or defense but now with more girls or womans teams with the majority of them in Main, Michigan and Minnsota you will see a differant game with the group of girls that are between the ages of 17 and 13 now, in a few years give it time it will be more entertaining hell yes to the greatest game on earth

maybe I came on strong you are entitled to your opinion and I do respect that in the states we have a league called Mid West Elite League where the players well at least 90% of them are outstanding hockey players alot of the girls can not out hit the boys or men but I have seen alot of girls teams make boys teams look bad in scrimmages yes and alot of them go full tilt womans or girls hockey at the upper levels is still boring but at the lower levels the game is evolving to be much more physical than alot of people would think. I love the game of hockey weather it be men or woman and I will support both, I would love to see WNHL in the states so all thes girls get a chance to show what they can do on the ice instead of the few that get picked becuase of politics in the game. Keep in mind that in Russia hockey players are required or used to be to take ballet for balance and figure skating to learn there edges.

You said the wrong thing moron my daughter plays hockey and has since she was 4 years old, go watch girls hockey at the lower levels and you will see the hits some great palys my daughter in the last 5 years has knocked 7 girls out cold on the ice and put several out of the game for good and has had 4 fights , she has over 500 pm in the last 4 years.Womans or girls hockey is the fastest growing sport in the US in the last few years so look things up and watch some games other then on the tube to really see what the girls can and have done, by the way figure skaters do not wear helmets !

Wings fans be patient we dont want to grab the first player to hit the market the wings have 5mil open to get a few players if they are needed, lets face it they are playing very well this year and with expereiance of last season this team maybe ready to take that step into the finals. I am a Samsonov fan have been since his Viper days but I say no way in Detroit.

Wings missed playoffs once since 1987, won 3 Stanley Cups,1 finals apperance,6 conf. finals apperances, lost count of Presidents trophies, (10 Stanley Cups total) Tigers turn it around make World sereies apperance Pistons NBA Champs, 5 conferance final apperances, and a NBA finals apperance LIONS were still waiting have pitty on us threw most of this time the Wings still sold out 90% of there games
