Me I never liked Lindros I thought he was just a big goon who could find the back of the net as far as the HOF no way he is not deserving of this honor, Heres a question should Pat Lafontaine make it to the HOF? This does not surprise me to see Detroit in the lead on this poll, Hockeytown is not just Detroit the city it is the fan base around the world. When Detroit won the cup in the 90s twice both parades combined total of fans was close to 4,000,000 that was a great river of red on Woodward. Here is another little tid bit 2 years ago there were 60,000 amature hockey players playing in Michigan I believe there were 48,000 male and around 12,000 female that number is stagering to me so anyone who says Michigan is not a hockey state is dead wrong. I am a Wings fan and this game has no reflection on the West what so ever do you honestly believe that a hockey fan from Duckland or Dallas gives a rats but about this game no becuase it does not affect thier teams what so ever and further more the 2 teams are in th East and most of there viewers for this will be Sabers or Pen fans both small market teams I could see maybe the Rangers and Pens it would have more of an intrest bescuase of the bigger market in New York in other words if the league wants to promote the sport they need to include both confrences when doing games like this. Not intrested and don't care about these 2 teams I would rather watch paint dry.

If there was an original 6 team or at least a team out of the West I would watch this game other than that I have no intrest in this. Ozzie has a painted helmet that he has worn a couple of times, but he prefers the style that he wears, because he can see the ice surface better the reason is simple look at the cage on Ozzies helmet and compare it to what most goalies wear. Ozzies has a bigger opening so he can see side to side easier along with down in front of him. There is a web site that has his painted mask on it.
