I have not had a chance to see Downey play yet but if this kid can skate and give 10 to 15 goals a season and protect are star players you bring him in, hell Probie only had 1 good year in scoring but his job was not to score it was to protect are star players and he knew that, so bring in Downey to do the same.

Good for him he deserves to be in a place were he can feel stable, instead of being bounced around the NHL

Thats a good question I have always thought Oleg to be a solid blue liner, the only thing that I can figure is that he has not been on to many good teams besides the Canes last yaer at 6'1" and 211# he should be able to land a job someplace

Do Buffalo fans realize that Hockeytown is not just in the city of Detroit or just in Michigan but pretty much were hockey is played, simply stated a Wings fan is a member of Hockeytown and as we all know the Wings have one of the largest fan bases in the NHL from pole to pole and East to West the Wings fans are the best. This all sounds great, but I for one would love to see the Wings moved into the East Con. so we would see more games with the original 6, anyways this is a start in the right direction

Why would it free up 2 mill for the Leafs? when Fish went down the Wings had to pay him to the end of his contract.

Does everyone remember Kozlov when he came to the Wings. He was involved in a car accident also and proir to that he was reported as doing the things on the ice at the age of 16 that Gretszky was doing in the NHL at that time frame . I have to believe that we never saw the what could have been even though Kozzie went on to have a solid NHL career. So remember Grigs may not be what he once was becuase of the wreck but from what I have heard prior to the wreck is his D was weak but during his rehab he had to play D for awhile and that caused him to round out his game so my opinion if this is true bring him on Kenny and lets not talk about Feds no more because this kid could be what this team needs in alot of ways

Lets look at it like this when a goalie wonders out of the net to the corners to play the puck the forwards skating in can not check him off of the puckcan not push, can not bump, just plan can not lay a finger on him. So in saying this with the rules the way they were writen and I believed they still are you can not touch the goalie, so in fact it was not fair to let him roam out to slow the play down if the oncoming forwards are not allowed to nock him off the puck. My opinion is to do away with trapizoid and if the goalie goes out roaming he becomes fair game, meaning the forward should be able to check him off the puck but not to interfear with him getting back to the net

This is suppose to be one of the NHL's top defencive players what a frigin hack! Just think of all the young kids who idolize this idiot ! How times change I remember watching Allison Harvey and Carnes with the JR Wings years ago none of these 3 really had what I would call great careers , these guye are 4 liners for weaker teams my opinion Allison do yourself and hockey fans a favor retire

They look pretty much the same but the red looks alot lighter then in the past mixed emotions at least they did not change the logo

I played when I was a young punk until around the age of 13 then I switched to football and started breaking bones like hand, ribs, blew out my elbow , fractured my foot, and hyper extended my knee. I have tried skating again but I just can not do it at any competitive level so stopped playing again and now enjoy watching my daughter play, go play it will change your life oh hey does anyone have any ALEVE

Well maybe but go for Sergi at trade deadline as far as Peca 2 years ago he was a thorn in the Wings side with Edmonton very gritty Bondra just could not mesh with the Senators anyways this is about Forskin or Sergi take Serg over Forsbum, Forskin what ever the dive artist name is

I am sick of hearing of getting Forsbum or Serg coming back they both are or were great players at one time, there are 2 quality players at the tail end of there carrers not signed yet and they both maybe in expensive and still leave cap room at deadline they are Peca and Bondra they played together in Washington and if memory serves me right they were pretty good together also they have never won a cup and maybe just a little hungrier then Forskin and Sergi

I'd pick up over Forsbum and Salami young and talented would be a good fit with the way the Wings want to go I'd offer 3 and see if he bites
