i was watching the video and at the 150 mark i saw holmstrom getting brutally cross checked from behind and im pretty sure they got a penalty ( i cant see how they didnt ) ........one thing i just thought to myself is this series was in 2003-2004 , under the old rules ......so let all these critics talk about how we'll lose cause calgary is more physical , but now if they try and hook or grab us with their arm or slash us thats an easy penalty , those are all moves they could of done to us 3 yrs ago but no longer .....i really believe in this team and in hasek and i think were gonna play reallly good regardless of what they have to say

i just cant wait for the series to start , im just so fed up of reading all these sites about how the flames will get us out

it probably wont happen but i was thinking since datsyuk has been playing well without zetterberg maybe we should split them up and give our team 3 solid scoring lines plus the grind line , and it'll force the flames to focus on 2 lines with our 2 stars rather then just one ,what do you guys think?? if we keep them together ..lines could either be something like ... zetterberg datsyuk holmstrom calder lang bertuzzi franzen filppula hudler/samuelsson cleary draper maltby or franzen datsyuk bertuzzi ( maybe having 2 big men on his line will help put pavel more at ease and let him do his stuff) filppulla zetterberg holmstrom calder lang hudler cleary draper maltby sammy is the odd man out , if hudler struggles game one due to calgary's physical play then bring in samuelsson what do you guys think will happen

i agree with you 100% , if we signed pavel for all that money hes gonna have to prove he can play without zetterberg which he has done so far since zetterberg has been gone , now take it to the next level .......calgary is gonna be really physical with us and take extra shots at datsyuk and zetterberg lets not kid ourselves, and the 2 of them together on the same line without a big man protecting them might make them not play to their potential that's why id personally wanna see datsyuk surrounded by bertuzzi and franzen , 2 big guys who can punish flames players and protect datsyuk and who can score ....zetterberg im less worried about him , he proved last post season he can score

during the flames vs avs intermission right now the 2 commentators both said they like calgary to win the series vs wings ( big surprise lol ) in 6 games , they said they doubt bertuzzi will be a big factor since he hasnt played alot of games and they both like kiprusoff over hasek

ozzie has been alright this year , but to say he's had a "great" year , thats just ridiculous , hes only played in 21 games and 13 of the 21 games he was in , the teams are out of the playoffs , osgood has played alright ....but great ? i think not

ryder plays on the 1st line and gets first crack on power plays , im saying if samuelsson played for montreal and was in ryder's shoes he could of had a 30 goal season , cause like ryder he takes alot of shots , wouldnt mean samuelsson would be good ......anyways the whole point of this is ..........ryder is overrated , we dont need him here

sure teams will be interested in bert , but if he has a lackluster playoffs then know one would offer him 5+ per season , hes too much of a risk at that price , teams have to think now with the cap , if it was 5 yrs ago know one would care and lock him up

i still think we might get into trouble especially if guys like hudler and filppulla devlop into the players we hope they will , if hudler gets 30 goals ( and its possible , he got 15 this year with barely any ice time ) then he's gonna get around 3 million easily, fillppulla should see that as well during zetterberg and datsyuk's big contracts .........lebda in a few yrs time will be getting a nice increase as will franzen ........its not only that i think datsyuk got too much money , he got to many years on his deal as well and yes i know detroit needs a player like bertuzzi but doesnt mean we gotta over pay a guy whos barely played in 2 yrs and hasnt shown us anything close to the player he use to be , if your gonna pay him 4.5 per id rather get ryan smyth, hes a proven player and hasnt had any serious injuries .......again thats just my take on it

i like bertuzzi but so far he hasnt shown anything to make me think he deserves to get 4.5 per season , he hasn't played in almost 2 seasons and any team would be stupid to give him that much money , id sign him to a 2 yr 6 million deal , take it or leave it

i guess its pretty safe to say now that lang and schneider wont be back , especially if we wanna sign calder and bertuzzi which id rather have ...........just wonder if lang knowing he wont be back will make him play even worse in the playoffs then he already is
