So who would like to see the wings land him? personally i wouldn't really like to see him in a wings jersey. Any opinions?

I wouldn't mind Zubrus, like others have said the possibility of Detroit signing a big name, outside of Red Wing, are slim. Zubrus is a solid player and could be had for around 2 mil.

He is only 29, and his point production has steadily increased for year to year.

He is not the difference maker a lot of people are looking for, but signing him instead of Smyth (not saying he is better), goes a long way towards helping resign Z and possibly Lids.

The only thing that worries me is I have no idea how well he plays in his own end.

I believe Zubrus can pull more than $2mil, he had a hell of a season.

It depends on how much money he wants, though honestly I don't think he's so great. He racked up points in Washington because he played on basically their only scoring line.

He still has no finish. Thankfully he's grown into his natural style the last few seasons and has be become a very good player, but he's just not the type of guy we need.

his size is certainly appealing and he was pretty good the second half of this season. but ive read that he wants a 5yr 15 million dollar contract. if we can get him for 2mil and 2-3 yrs that would be fine with me
