It's about time leagues start reprimanding their officials if something improper has occured. Winters downright baited Bradley into a confrontation. These kind of people shouldnt be umps, or refs, or officials of any kind. These bums bring down sports in a big way. It sucks that this happend so late in the year, otherwise I would imagine Winters suspension would be longer. The piece of s*** should lose his job. This bum knows Milton Bradley has a temper, and purposely disrupted the game to throw a cheap shot at him. Completely classless. Which is why Winters was suspended, and Bradley wasnt. Great decision by Major League Baseball.

I agree that UMPs, refs, etc. should be punished too. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with things because they are the officiators. Good call by the MLB.

If I were him, I'd sue the umpire and the league over this incident. Will he lose salary as a result of the injury?

Sure, but the umpire's actions helped lead to the situation that caused his injury. Of course, Bradley bears responsibility for overreacting, but once the MLB suspended the ump, they acknowledged he did something wrong.
