VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted October 13, 2007 I just find it amusing that all the critics constantly point out how the Wings are good because we're in a weak division and all that. Well, shockingly enough, as it stands right now five of the top nine teams in the West are the entire Central Division. Granted, it's early, but judging from what we've seen, every team has improved (except for Nashville, who manages to stay decent anyways). So when the WIngs win the Central this year, maybe we finally will hear the end of all that Weak Division garbage. Just thought I'd point this out in case people didn't notice. jerm8352 3 Report post Posted October 13, 2007 It's way to early to look at standings at all. And no matter what, we still have a weak division. This fact is not gonna change and we are not gonna hear the end of the weak division talk. And all the other people who talked about the weak division in past years were absolutely right. auxlepli 17 Report post Posted October 14, 2007 Well in any case it should be more interesting this year. It seems there's more parity in the League now than there's ever been before.

The Central isn't that strong. Time will show that. But Detroit has proven that it is a top 3 team in the West.
Vincanni 1 Report post Posted October 14, 2007 Considering our record against Chicago, at this point I find the weak division argument entirely dead in the water considering we've yet to lose a game outside our division. I expect this trend to correct itself as the season carries on but last year our central division record wasn't exactly spectacular either, at least compared to the year before.
