miller76 463 Report post Posted April 5, 2008 I was watching the NHL Network a couple of hours ago. I believe it was "NHL on the fly". They ended up running a story on San Jose, about how they have one of the most feared line ups in the league. And that they should go far in the playoffs. But then they also talked about Ron Wilson and the future he has in San Jose, and if they don't either get to the Finals or win the Cup his job may be in danger. And the panel seemed to agree with that, yeah he should be replaced. I know Babcock is not going anywhere, win or lose this year. But I just don't agree with getting rid of a coach that has a top contender every year. I know the ultimate result is a little much to take when your team loses. But there can only be one winner! I understand the frustration from the higher ups in the organization, but is firing the coach what a good team needs. I know it has worked out in the past, and has backfired as well. Whenever I think of this, it reminds me of the Cowboys winning the Super Bowl, and Jerry Jones firing Jimmy Johnson! Being that we are all amateur GM's here, what would you do? Do you believe that in some cases it's a boost for an already good team?
