I'm not one of those that bashes Sammy due to being realistic about his abilities, but he was an absolute joke Monday night. He was of no offensive threat, and anytime he had the chance to hit a guy, he decided it would be better to just rub shoulders with him. I counted atleast 4 times I caught him letting up on a check when he absolutely should've plowed through the guy. If he's doing neither, he needs to drop down. He's big, has a fantastic slapshot and would see it as a one game try out for the playoffs/regular-season. Look what happened with Quincy. He went from meh to a solid young defenseman in mind of many when he played in last year's playoffs. Plus- hey, I'm an Ericsson fan I like Ericsson but there is no way that he is ready to play in leiu of either Lebda or Lilia. Lilja is our number 1 shot blocker. I'd leave him in just for that part.
