Lidstrom scores a goal from center ice against Vancouver in Round 1 - Lidstrom scores a goal from center ice against Nashville in Round 1. Wings beat the Avs in game 7, 7-0 eliminating them after a CRUSHING victory - Wings beat the Avs in game 4, 8-2 eliminating them after a CRUSHING victory. Just like Lids denied Pierre after Game 6 against Nashville about it being similar to 2002, I will not compare this to what took place in 2002. If you believe in jinxing a team because of something said -you're mental. I said last night I'd be surprised if Detroit won game 4 and look they demolished Colorado. As much as I love Detroit I relaly thought Colorado was going to come out with a fight. Jinxes are mental, all mental. As for the situations being similar and different, they're comparable...but then different. You're right they are two different teams chasing the same goal...but you cannot deny the obvious.
