ifonlyicouldskate 11 Report post Posted June 5, 2008 I would like him back, but with the way the man plays the game and the wear and tear he has put his body threw, who could blame him if he went out on top?
Opie 308 Report post Posted June 5, 2008 This was the only reason he came back to play, I really don't see him playing next year. Hell if it weren't for the wings wanting him he would probably would have not played this year. I am soooooo happy for him to have hoisted the cup!
Zion 93 Report post Posted June 5, 2008 Interesting. I've heard Drake called worthless so much this season, and his play in the playoffs absolutely shut everybody up. He was terrific! Like Chelios, I wouldn't mind him playing a reduced role and eventually becoming a coach to the upcoming checkers like Kopecky, Helm, Abdelkader, etc. while Cheli keeps the new defensemen learning. We have the depth and experience for a REAL shot at a repeat, gang!
Nero 20 Report post Posted June 5, 2008 Made an impact (literally) in the first games of the season and love him since. I'd love to have him back if he wants to be back.

Reds4Life 51 Report post Posted June 5, 2008 I doubt he will be back. He just won the Stanley Cup and has great chance to retire. He played over 1000 games..and he is not freak of Nature like Cheli so age is a factor too.
Williams29fan 6 Report post Posted June 5, 2008 Would love to have him back, but i honestly think he and Dom are going out on top. Cheli is just a freak of Nature, he'll be back!
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted June 5, 2008 As some have mentioned, I just don't see him coming back. At this point in his career, he really has no reason to given the wear and tear his body has been through and now having won the elusive Cup. Thanks Drake, your efforts were huge!
