MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted October 30, 2008 The NHL's injury policy has been changed coming out of last week's GM meetings. NHL teams are no longer required to specify exact areas and timelines for injured players. However, they cannot falsify injury reports (i.e. say a player has an elbow injury when in fact he has a knee injury). Basically, it gives them free reign to use "upper body" and "lower body" to describe injuries. This was done because it was felt that players were targeting players who had injury details made public.
