randomwingsfan 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2008 I am a diehard Red Wings fan from of all places North Dakota and this is my first post, I do not claim to know anything more than anyone else that is for sure. Just a couple of observations, I have the center ice package (much to chagrin of my wife) so I see all of the games I can. Obviously Wings are not playing anywhere near the level needed to win anothe Cup but we are only 25% thru the season and you have to believe that they will get on a serious run at sometime. Also assuming they win the division that guarentees a 2 or 3 seed assuming SJ leads the west in points. That gets a us home ice for the 1st round and hopefully the second round and assuming Anaheim his fourth in points let them and SJ beat the s*** out of each other and we will be fine of course assuming we win our series. Now am I getting ahead of myself by four months yes I am but it is also the most logical finish to the regualr season. Also any news on when Z may sign, every day passes I get a bit more nervous. We aren't playing the puck possession game like we did last year at all, but we are getting wins. It's not an excuse, but we need the upcoming homestands to practice our style back to perfection. The schedule doesn't seem to have allowed much time for that, so we're sloppy. And as for the finish, sounds logical to me. I would say Zetterberg may sign in Jan/Feb he's not due until the end of season, right? And they probably are trying to keep their cap space as big as possible just in case? diehardredwing19 11 Report post Posted November 30, 2008 all i want for christmas is Z locked up... and in saying that i mean that, and after that we can worry bout Hossa and Franzen, zetterberg is the face of the franchise and i know kenny will get it done im guessing by mid jan something should be done... we wings fans got burnt with fedorov in 03... so im sure kenny is gonna be more on it with this one and not let that happen again Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
