Mike 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2009 Just read this on mlive. Stuart avoided a potentially serious injury after slamming his head into the boards midway through the first period. He sustained no head or neck injuries, but he hurt his knee and has sore ribs. X-rays revealed no fracture. "I couldn't breathe for a little while,'' Stuart said. "Piet (trainer Van Zant) was asking me if I was OK and I was trying to talk and I couldn't. That worried him a little bit, but I was finally able to get something out. It was a sense of relief after I was able to pick myself up.'' This sounded like it could have been a lot, lot worse. Glad Stuart is ok and I hope he is back on his game when he returns.
