VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted February 22, 2009 Americans used to get blasted for Russian paranoia, but apparently the Canadians are STILL freaked about them. I've seen quite a bit of pop culture from Canada that made jokes about Soviets and Russians. Poor Canadians. That Arctic wind is getting to them.
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted February 22, 2009 Well first of all- weed is a less damaging drug than alcohol (socially and personally), so I don't care about that. As far as coke use goes- that's part of the reason why Detroit parted way with him and certainly one of the reasons why the league was always looking to distance themselves from him. The coke probably made him a better fighter, though Right. The point is, while the NHL may distance itself from activities that alters one's on ice play to give an unfair advantage (i.e. coke or performance enhancing drugs), I don't see why it would or should care about issues like the "Big Montreal Scandal". If the idiots do something to get themselves jailed they take punishment like anyone should in missing work in breaking the law. If they don't, the Habs and NHL and leagues/olympics should kindly f*** off and stop being behavioral engineers.
