Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this a thread about HOCKEY? Aren't we all hockey fans here? Aren't we all entitled to our own opinions? Isn't this America for pete's sake?! :P

Long story short, don't tell hockey fans where they can talk about hockey and where they can't. You are all welcome in the sharks forums as we are here.

Welcome to the Sharks forum? Ha! Thats a laugh. Your joking right? I actually have a login over there. I have never been so unwelcomed somewhere online in my life. I have never talked to so many uninformed homers that couldn't explain the difference between offsides and icing. And don't bother to ever attempt to talk about the Collective Bargaining Agreement there. I think they believe it has something to do with NAFTA or whatever!

So I make a post that isn't total praise for a 4th liner there, and I get labeled as a troll for not sucking on the nuts of a team that has never proven anything in the playoffs, except that they run out of gas prior to getting to the desired destination.

While I agree we have some idiots over on our forum, for the most part, we actually welcome fans of other teams. And IMO every teams forum has homers, this forum sure does!

All I know is I always welcomed fans from other forums, until they begin bashing our team or praising their own and purposely putting down the Sharks, then I tend to get rude. :) So I'm sorry for those who were rude to you, but like I said, we're all hockey fans so every forum should be open to anyone who wants to talk about hockey.

Oh and regarding your playoffs argument, quite honestly, I've noticed that it's the only argument fans in this forum have against the Sharks, and while it's true for the time being, it gets quite annoying after arguing against it for the 20th time!

Easy killer, when engaging the enemy on the enemies turf, be prepared for a little abuse. This is all in good spirit and I am not going to get down over a little teritorialism. He was wrong I was right, no harm no foul...now he knows better.

LOL

Ya ya I know, My responses are all in good spirits too (for the most part!) :P

Oh, well. I'm not going to freshen it up.

But if it helps progress the argument, I also think the Sharks don't have any stamina to fight through a serious forechecking attack. Dallas was brilliant last year and I don't think I really gave the Stars the credit they deserved for finding the Sharks weak link and exploiting the hell out of it. As the games kept going on and on scoreless, and Dallas kept the pressure on, it really forced the Sharks into making mistakes. As Dalls got into the driver's seat in that series, the Sharks proved too brittle.

It's nice to watch Fatty Marleau and Slow Thornton and Devon WearstheGucci in their tic-tac-toe precision against the Kings and the Coyotes, but they need some heretofore unseen grit if they want to be taken seriously in the post-season. If you don't think it's a weakness, you're kidding yourself.

They're also a Dan Boyle injury away from having a very, very weak power play blueline.

hey redwing fans and one shark fan.:) i'm new here kind of, i've met some of you last year in the chatroom you guys provide. Since we are talking about the Sharks, i'll have to chime in here. I do agree with you guys, we haven't have any key injuries like the Stars. Mitchell,Luko,Roenick, Shelly, goc, and plihal has been our injuries. The only key injury's have been Luko and Roenick. I do agree without boyle, we are a normal team, i saw it when he was injured for a few games and when boyle had the flu. The sharks were horrible at moving the puck and getting puck posession and getting into the zone.

And really i don't go to the sharks forums, on sjsharks.com. They have the most rediculous people over there, i don't waste my time there. Thats why i post on other teams forums. About the dallas game and Sharks game. Sharks played like literal Crap that game, execpt for Nabokov. Other than that, we played like crap the whole game. Sharks were lucky to win that game. If we play like that tommrow, we are going to lose 6-0 like we did before. Anyways good luck tommrow. May the best team win!

It's hard to take you seriously posting crap like that.

For counter argument it's very easy to say the Red Wings need a lot more help on the PK if they want to be taken seriously in the post-season. Last year at least the Wings we're respectable on the PK. This year the PK is pathetic.

"They're also a Dan Boyle injury away from having a very, very weak power play blueline."

Thank you captain obvious. That's like me saying the Red Wings are a Nicklaus Lidstrom injury away from being in trouble themselves lol.

Well your first mistake here, is that you can take something like what he wrote seriously. He made fun of a couple of your precious players names. Crying me an effen river, would ya!

Secondly there captain obvious, how in the world did you ever find out that Detroits PK sucked? Digging in the stats of nhl.com or just pick up a paper somewhere? Thats obvious new information around here. BTW Ozzie is also struggling this year.

Thirdly (if thats even a word), There is no doubt in my mind that Dan Boyle is a hell of a D-man. And your team would be absolutely screwed if they lost him. But for your information most teams if not all, are pretty much screwed if they lose their number one D-man.

And lastly. I think it would be great if the Sharks found away to overcome their playoff disappointment and capture the Stanley Cup. As a fan of the Red Wings for 26 years now, Steve Yzerman hoisting the Cup in 1997 was an emotional thing for me, as was 98. Especially after the brutal years I endured as a true fan of this team. Every hockey fan that loves their team should have the chance to experience that. It's just a shame that they the (Sharks) couldn't achieve that in all their chances year after year, without reaching out to the dark-side in the off-season and getting a coach that brought along Red Wing values, ideology, and class.

Uh no. It's called picking up the phone and ordering NHL Center ice to watch Detroit and every other NHL team play.

Wow thanks for sharing that obvious information.

This is just an amazing post. Thank you.

Join the club. A lot of us on here watch every team on a nightly basis.

Me, I figured I would reiterate the obvious after you ridiculed a post, and then proceeded to post non-contributing obvious information. For the sole reason of being butt hurt over people poking fun at your players.

This thread is getting a little long in the tooth, so I apologize in advance for extending the misery. However I thougtht it important to note that this Sharks fan does not think it is a shame that our team realized our biggest obstacle to winning the cup was the Wings and that Doug Wilson (who brings an admirable set of values, ideology and class of his own) chose to hire one of the brightest new prospect on the head coaching front. Yes he happened to be a Wings asst, but I am not sure how much I would put into the modeling themselves after the Wings thing. As I have posted around here recently, the two teams are similar but very different in terms of style, ideology etc.

If the Sharks win the cup this year, it will be all the more enjoyable and rewarding given the effort that has been put forth to accomplish the task in years past.
