Tane 17 Report post Posted May 18, 2009 Anyone Have Any Idea Why the NHL, in the past 5 years has put out for sale Just about Every Vintage Jersey Possible, 3-4 Bruins, Sabres, 2 Flames, Blackhawks, Nordiques, 3 North Stars, Wings, Oilers, 3 Kings, Kansas City Scouts, Colorado Rockies, Rangers, Flyers, 2-3 Penguins, 2 Jets, Blues, Leafs, 3-4 Canucks, Capitals and Even THe Oakland/California (Golden) Seals.....But No Hartford Whalers? In the EA Sports and 2K Games, all the Classic Jerseys are in there, except for the Whalers. I'm wondering if the NHL somehow no longer has the Rights to the Whaler Logo and Names? I'm sure the Whaler Jerseys would sell as well as any of the Others, Anyone know? Why Everything BUT the Whalers?
elriqo28 2 Report post Posted May 18, 2009 I'm not sure but I loved their jerseys. Simple but a great color scheme and sweet logo.
NGKEIB 32 Report post Posted May 18, 2009 I believe that the rights to all of the Whalers stuff is owned by the city of Hartford, and not by the NHL.
