Selke13 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 MISTAKES... I really do believe the red wings are better than the Pens, although they did play great. The wings made more mistakes and the penguins are a good team and made them pay for it. It does not matter what level of hockey is played, the team that makes less mistakes will win. The Winged Wheel 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 (edited) It's also a game of Bill f***in McCreary. Seriously, how the hell does the NHL draw him for TWO motherf***in games in a row? I just loved that god damn "Crosby piggy back ride" that happened right in front of the refs and was not called. One of about 10 penalties that wasn't called tonight. I'm not one to complain about refs if there's a bigger ******* official in all of sports I'd like to see it. Congrats, Bill, you not only managed to force a game 7, but you and your incompetent group of officials can go drink from the cup with the Penguins in the locker room. Other than that, congrats Pens fans! Edited June 13, 2009 by The Winged Wheel
GoalieManPat 1,007 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Both teams made mistakes. The Pens just capitalized on them. Whats sad is that its the Pens role players that did the Wings in. Depth was supposed to be the Wings advantage but they didnt show up. Hudler hasnt been seen since the Chicago series. I think its time to file a missing persons for him. 10 Minute Misconduct 104 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Pens were the better team this series. It should have been done sooner IMO. Outplayed us in both games 1 and 2. We also got more powerplays tonight soooooooooo take the ref bulls*** somewhere else.
Pat 44 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 pens didnt get the injury bug like we did. I'm not gonna blame injuries for the losses tho, we still should have wrapped this up but we couldn't play hockey for 60 minutes.

Til then, I don't want to hear it.

I'm not gonna blame injuries for the losses tho, we still should have wrapped this up but we couldn't play hockey for 60 minutes. the wings havent played hockey for 60 minutes for much of the series. the good thing they did though was not allow a goal during that time. im not blaming losses on those counts. the thesis of this topic, i suppose, is making untimely turnovers. as a former dman, albeit not great, i was taught when i didnt see an outlet to either put it off the glass, reverse it, or keep it in the corner. IMO, STUART should have gone back to basics, even though those plays should not have decided this game...i mean series.
Dano33 41 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 Hockey is a game of inches. We were inches away from a tie game.
