the guy who was fired from the NBA on some conspiracy is the NHL's top dog?

this guy has done whatever he can to make this game like the NBA, especially when it comes to its marketable "stars" i.e. crosby.

whenever the wings are in the playoffs, just watch the ref's.

or last year, when he blames NBC for moving up the finals 5 days.

or the consistent crosby propaganda.

The attention paid to officiating is what I think is s***ty these days. For better or worse, the officiating had its share of s***ty calls in the past, but ever since there have been grander discussions of rule changes it has become a "problem". Now, no matter what happens people will find "problems" with the officiating. If the rules never changed or if the current rules never change people will get over it and deal with it. The whole idea that the league has to constantly address "problems" puts in motion a moving ball that will never end. You will find as many "problems" as you go looking for. Let people acclimate to the game, not the other way around. There is no purity of sport in constant change.

new faceoff rules. It seems like it just more face time for the linesmen...what is supposed to be 15 seconds or whatever in between whistles turns into 10-45 cause the refs wont drop the puck.
