No Holmstrom VS Blues, Eaves won't return before the break

ST. LOUIS -- Pregame update from the Detroit Red Wings' game vs. the St. Louis Blues:

Tomas Holmstrom will not play due to the bruised left knee he sustained in the first period of Saturday's game in Los Angeles. He is listed as day-to-day.

General manager Ken Holland said forward Patrick Eaves (sprained left ankle) is likely to miss the next two games, in addition to tonight. He won't return until after the Olympic break.
