In the next round, does the higher seed always plays the lowest seed who is still qualified or does it follow a tree?

Yes, highest seed plays lowest seed, they re-arrange the bracket accordingly. In the SCF, they base home-field advantage on points, so if we get the threepeat with Pissburgh, we would actually get home ice even though they are a 4 seed and we are a 5, we finished with more points.
