Donaldjr2448 43 Report post Posted March 13, 2011 Last night my step dad and I attended the Michigan Warriors Hockey game in Flint. I wasn't expecting anything exciting, but once the game began I was impressed at the talent on the ice. The league the Warriors play in is the NAHL (North American Hockey League) and the Warriors play at Perani Arena(former home of the Flint Generals). The kids in this league are players left over from College or kids waiting to get into College. Most of the Warriors players played High School Hockey in the Mid-Michigan/Detroit Area. The speed of the game was impressive to say the least and these kids flat out brought it for 60 minutes. We sat right next to the Warriors bench and I was impressed with coaches and how they coached as if this was an NHL game. There were a few players that were reluctant to hit and the assistant coach stated to the players "Get some respect for yourself out there". The game is worth the money, tickets were $10 for Lower Section seats and $8 for upper level seats. If you have nothing else to do on a weekend night, check these kids out, you won't be disappointed. The Warriors next home game is in Two weeks when the Warriors host the Janesville Jets. That weekend is the season finale. Check out the league website at www.nahl.com and the warriors website at www.mywarriors.net Good Stuff, oh and the concessions are cheap as well. $4 for a 16 oz beer, never thought I would see that!!
