After nearly 35 years away from my hometown, we are returning for a short visit and have tickets for the Oct 16th game at the Joe!
The last time I actually attended a Red Wings game, Roger Crozier was in goal, the street car ride, SRO ticket, hot Vernors with a cinnamon stick, and a hot dog steamed in Stroh's beer set me back less than $15.00. Can I even get the hot dog for that now? Anyway, we are flying in from the Oregon Coast so it will be about a $2,000 game for us I think.
Please help me learn the trick to meeting Wings for an autograph, where is the best place to wait, how early will they let you in at the Joe? We love the game and are life long Wings fans but way out here we have only the t.v. to get our Hockey fix!
We are about 90 miles west of Portland and do attend the Winterhawks games, but it is just not the same. We did watch Marian Hossa play when he was just a kid here, but we desperately want an NHL franchise here...thought we had a chance at a Pennysylvania team, but somebody bailed them out of bankruptcy I hear...
