Far from our best, but after Vancouver and 3 straight losses, we needed this one.
Ugly or not.

Congratulations to Mursak.

And Joey wins on the road. Never a bad thing.

Let's start a new streak.

Have a great game Wings!

Can't wait to see the debut of Quincey. Again.

Anyone else think just maybe we should have put Joey Mac back in net?
Either way, win tonight boys!

GO WINGS!!!

Red Wing 'till I die.

I have Center Ice and have heard all the commentators around NHL (different FS sports channels and Canadian ones.)
Nobody, and I mean nobody comes close to Mickey, Ken, and Larry.
The color of voice, the manner in which they speak, the chemistry, the humor, and fair lack of political correctness.

We often talk and discuss about our players - who will go and who will stay, who should we bring, and who will we bring.
I want to take a moment and express my desire for Red Wings broadcasting trio to stay together for a long, long time.
Because I absolutely love listening to them.

The only weak link is John Keating. Deliberate pauses in his speech are unbearable to me.
However, you only get to hear him during the introduction, intermission, and post-game periods.
Personally, I will gladly put up with him if it means keeping our aforementioned golden trio.

That said, f*** Eddie Olczyk.
Despite Center Ice, tonight I am watching online, since I do not live in Michigan, and the FSD feed is blacked out.

Time to kick the blues away.

Red Wing 'till I die.

Let's keep winning, on the road that is!

Great news about the Winter Classic. I am starting to plan my attendance with my brother.
We live in California.

I just hope, as some of you have mentioned, that Detroit's sweaters will be mostly red, our color!!!

Let's go Red Wings!!!

Red Wing 'till I die.

What a great victory on the road! A bit grimey and ugly but that is OK.
It goes just fine with the "menacing grille."

Top o' the west baby!!!

Get some rest boys. You deserved it.
f*** Ott.

What a win for the men in red and white!!! Congratulations on number 15.

Of course, congratulations all around, as they couldn't have done it without the LGW faithful.

Easily the worst player tonight was John Keating.

Will see everyone tomorrow for the Stars game.

Red Wing 'till I die.

Bertuzzi says they should win one for Conklin, then he takes a stupid penalty. Way to back up your words with actions Bert.

Another year, another season, and another game with the Sharks.

Yet, for me, this is clearly not just another game. There are three teams that I truly hate: the Sharks, the Penguins, and the s***hawks

(do your best Jim Lahey impersonation here).
Heck, these days, I hate the Sharks more than I do Avalanche. I did not think that was possible. I even bought a book to remind me,
and help me reminisce, about our rivalry and my hatred for the Avs.

Back to tonight. It does not hurt to remind oneself that Asian civilization and culture, at over six thousand years old, is among the

oldest and wisest in the world.

They eat sharks.

The Euro-brethren core of our beloved team needs to learn and take inspiration in this fact.

So, tonight, we butcher. Cooking optional. Hell, we don't even have to eat.

Just win.

Red Wing 'till I die.

Draper, I am counting on you to channel the spirit of the of the 90's.

Jimmah, you have my faith.

Everyone else, follow the lead of the Russian Houdini. Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, Krishna.....................I'll take Pavel.

Everything I have come to witness, everything I have come to understand, everything I have come to know, everything I have come to love,
of good and evil, of hockey, of Red Wings, started in early, cold January in 1997 with a game against the Avalanche, few weeks after
I've come to live in the United states from Europe.

While it was not the infamous bench-clearing brawl game that would come a bit later, it has stuck with me ever since. And it always will.
Without ever seeing a hockey game in my life, without knowing anything about the sport, without even knowing of the Red Wings existence,
I accidentally stumbled upon a game that would change my life.

The name, the colors, Scotty Bowman's look, it all left a monumental impression on a young, innocent kid. I was surprised that I was
mesmerized by something, at first glance so simple and effortless... the way they were passing the puck around. I questioned weather
it was the Red Wings or the game of hockey itself that had me spellbound.

I had my answer two days later, during which I tried to watch several other games, none featuring the magicians in red and white.
"Tried" is the right word, since it took an effort on my part to watch something that left me mostly pleasureless.
"So..., the Red Wings then, that's the answer," I thought to myself. "Yes, they play hockey too, but, it's Red Wings Hockey."
To this day, it's difficult for me to watch other teams, so I do not.

On the other hand, with the Red Wings, it's always the same on gameday: a lot of anticipation, a lot of excitement, dash of fear.
When they score: instant dementia that leads to derangement and culminates in pure ecstasy.
Let's not talk about opponents and playoffs, I'll be banned, and I've only just registered.

I have been lurking around this forum for two years now. It's finally time to let my presence felt. Why now? I do not know.
Perhaps the final star has aligned itself in the form of our victory against the Vancouver Canucks. I am still buzzing from it.
That game made me go and buy Little Caesars pizza at 11 o'clock at night. I never had Little Caesars pizza before, and I have been
living here, happily now, for 14 years. I was not even hungry. What can you say about their $5 Hot-n-Ready!?
It's hot. It's ready. 'Nuff said.

I hope you won't hold it against me, my lengthy introduction and such.
Do not despair. The game is drawing near, and I am out of ale. I must make haste.

The only question now is: India Pale or Belgian white?

Catch you on the flip side.

New member here. Greetings to all of the Red and White Army.

That video is the closest we have come to Red Wings' version of "HBO's 24/7"

Massive victory. I know some of you do not agree... however it shows the true heart of a depleted team against the hottest one in the league. What hunger by the recent Griffins.

All in all, one word:

Jimmah.

Luongo is a c***.

Red Wing 'till I die.
