I was listening to Stumpy on MOJO and he said himself he was willing to play for the minimum salary, and that he would love to finish his career with the Leafs, but they have not made a formal offer to him. He has had contact with the Leafs management and expressed his interest to play for Toronto, but Ferguson will contact him prior to training camp if they decide to give him that opportunity.

I remember watching Filppula at the WJHC in 2004 and he played really well. He was one of the top scorers in the tournament. Sure he'll be given every chance to make it.
