well first off, last year/early this year Bettman openly stated that Pittsburg was going to win the cup. He made sure of it this year with the finals scheduling and ref-ing! He's a fixer alright...but fix does not mean 'repair' in this instance. I was surprised to see that many people feel the same way about this ass-clown as I do...the "booing" when he took the mic was classic! The media is having an orgasm over this - Crosby is the face of the NHL? says who?!

the wings don't need fighters...that's not the type of team they are! They need skill, speed, hands and smarts! If he could step in and play like eriksson...then hell yes!

Don't talk too fast...there is still another round before the cup! Let's get past the Hawks first. They will be tough! The wings struggled with them this season. I rank the Hawk fans in the same realm as the Penguin fans, they are poor sport bastards and need to eat a little more humble pie! Go Wings! Go Canes!

Look at it this way...they have to win 1 of the next two. I think the odds are pretty good! Hey, Pittsburg is a good team! You can't lay back on these guys...this is making for a great Stanley Cup! The prize is much sweeter when you have to work for it! RELAX PEOPLE!!! The Wings will bounce back...

puh LEASE! I have not seen Crosby do much but cherry pick beside the net. What other goals has he had? What else has he done? Maybe he can run the gamet in the Eastern Conference...look how he preforms against the Western Conference. Also...lot's of whining and crying by Crosby...I'm just not seeing the "best player in NHL"! I have watched NHL for decades so I don't see what you people who are hoisting this guy above all other players are seeing...he's basically the Steve Yzerman of Pittsburg. For you Pens fans...your time will come...but with a coach who is a poor sport(comments that he's made - this transfers to the players and fans) and a facility that denies the purchase of tickets of the opposing team's fans just shows that you all have some growing to do as a hockey community. We love our wings like you love your pens...

Yep, I agree as well...remember the Red Wings were not even listed for favorites for the cup this year. San Jose was supposed to win it all. That's what makes the NHL post season so unpredictable...it's always the team that gels in the end...rarely is it the favorite. Mad props must be given to coach Babcock and his staff! It has been an enjoyable season to watch the wings! Thanks guys! Great Season!

not a fairweather fan!!!....been a fan all my life. I have been a Detroit Lion fan forever too...I don't jump ship!! Born and raised in MI.....do you remember they just picked up Stuart!?!? doesn't mean I have to like him. He hasn't impressed me yet....especially when he makes several mistakes...he was in on the 2 goals that Pitt scored. I have to admit that I get a little wriled up when I watch the wings, especially when they make mistakes. I expect perfection or at least a reasonable facsimile, that is just the way it is in Detroit hockey. You can't make mistakes in the STANLEY CUP and expect to win...which is why my initial post was created. Stuart pissed me off. However, I will lick my wounds and allow him to fight another day for redemption. I guess I shouldn't post during the game...huh?

Ya, you are right about that...some people get pretty carried away with the love of their team. All in all, if you actually watch the replay of the game last night, you will see that the Wings made a couple mistakes (Stuart) which cost them 2 goals. Nothing against the Pens, hey that's how you win games, capitalize on the mistakes. However, the Pens were on their heels the rest of the game and it sure did go silent when Detroit scored the 2nd goal. I think in their hearts they know that Detroit has the much stronger team and should win the Cup...but it is not a gimme and the Wings have to win the next 2 to get it. They were definitely on the edge of their seats near the end of the game.
