completely agreed. I wasnt exactly happy with bert in a red wings jersey but I wasnt happy with the kyle calder trade at first either and ive grown to like calder a lot so im sure most fans will grow to at least respect the guy once they see what he does for the wings in the playoffs.

I could believe that he gets bored when seeing less shots, half the time he looks bored. Dom loves the action so when he gets action he is having more fun, and giving his best effort. So maybe we should let the team take a quick 15 shots on goal in the 1st, just have everyone step aside, and then get the game going so he plays better? haha idk, im sure when playoffs come he'll be fine.

yea i find myself rooting for the Rangers more and more because of Avery and Shanahan. I would love a Rangers Wings stanley cup finals but I doubt this will happen

if the stanley cup is overrated, and every team in the NHL is going for that cup, then you are basically saying the NHL lis overrated. The way you make it sound, why have the NHL at all? Im sorry but the Stanley Cup is not overrated, thats just ignorant to say

the fact is that the game shouldve never went to OT or the shootout in the first place. 3-0 lead in the 3rd and I turn the channel for maybe 5-10 minutes and come back and the game is tied. They need to stay strong throughout games so shootouts are not needed. I guess the only good that came out of it was that they still got a point.

Do nashville fans want a cookie? They think these are viable excuses for the loss but they are lame. Injuries are on every team, the wings are completely healthy either. The Powerplay time was in favor for nashville so the discussion ends right there on that. They pulled their goalie at the end with a powerplay creating a 6-4 opportunity and still couldnt put it in the net, quit whining, you lost. You were not the better team last night, or the entire season for that matter so shut up and if the preds are smart, they will somehow use this to fuel them in the playoffs.

detroit is a football town, no doubt. when im with friends in times right now, none of them will talk hockey with me but they will talk about who the lions will take #2 and the pistons and their playoff hopes. No one will talk red wings hockey, let alone hockey in general. As someone said before I guarantee more people watch lthe 3-13 lions play every sunday than the potential NHL leading Red Wings. Hockey is the least watched sport of the 4 and thats the way it will stay for a while im sad to say. Just not as marketable to people anymore. O well, ill stick with hockey. I saw the crowd at the red wings bench where they were just in a little mix up. then the camera backs up and you lilja dancin toe to toe with moen, gloves off, ready to go. wasnt exactly a good fight either but it was a fight. they showed the wings avs mixup from the 96-97 season after that, and that was some good memories.

well for football games, i jingled keys(dont ask) and i did rally caps for every sporting event possible so im thinkin ill get this new red wings hat ive been looking at(got the sweet old english D on the back) and rally cap it during the games, and get a red wings lanyard thing and put a whole bunch of keys and jingle them during powerplays...otherwise... idk

what intrigues me is the possibility of having an Avalanche vs. Wings matchup in the first round. We all know the avalanche hate bertuzzi for obvious reasons(i must admit I was not a big fan of the move at first to bring him to Detroit), so hopefully this will bring back the oh so wonderful Red Wing Avs rivalry.
