Not really. they sat back after that First Period. Watching the Wings for a while lets you know when they let off. They did and the Sharks took advantage of it. The Wings just cannot let that happen tonight. They need to come out and play the whole game the way they played period 1 of the last game. GO WINGS!!

I have to agree that Sammy doesn't do too much with the puck when it comes to shooting. But plenty of times last night, Sammy dug into the boards with some Sharks players and came out with the puck, passed it to the interior (or Lidstrom) and the Wings got a chance off it. He brings a little more grit to the Dats-Zetter Line (Grit that I would rather see Homer bring...). Granted, he doesn't shoot much at all (well at least not shooting well), but what people have to remember is that not every player on the team has to have a beautiful slapshot.

If anyone believes that Hasek's flopping does not work, travel back to 2002. It sure as hell worked then.

My thoughts exactly. The Wings need to keep stepping in and creating some good chances, and capitalize on them. We will be starting the Period with just a few seconds till a power play. Time to set the tone for Period 2. Don't let up boys!!!

I like that!! As long as the Wings really don't go down 3-0. If they do, then the Boards will be full of doom and gloomers when the Wings are behind in the game. GO WINGS!!!! Beat those "Tuna Fish"!!!

Agreed to both of you. If the Wings play well, the boards are nice to be on because of the good mood tha everybody is in...................the minute the Wings start to lose or not do so well, its like a huge amount of the Fans lose all confidence or faith. The point in being a fan is not to constantly tear apart your team or the players if they aren't playing perfec hockey. The point in being a fan is to root for your team. Period.

No predictions. Tough game. Is it ok to be worried????? I think if the Wings play tough, smart, hockey, then they will win. GO WINGS!!!

Yeah, he hurt he ankle as he went into the boards during his hit on Langkow. Then Langkow suckerpunched him and gave him the concussion. All one in the same.............unfortunately. If we could get Homer back in Game 4 and then Lebda back in Game 5, I think we will see a good Wings victory in this series.
