Rewind three years, and you would see me pissed off about that as well. Don't assume. Now onto the thing you said that irks me the most. Comparing what Hasek did towards Iginla to what McLennan did this afternoon. You say that Hasek was half a swing away from being as bad as McLennan. Good point. But Hasek didn't complete the swing. That makes him a whole hell of alot better than McLennan. Oh and check these message boards. The night Hasek swung at Iginla, there were an incredible number of Wings Fans pissed at Hasek for that. We tend to hold our players to the same standards we hold all other players. Face it. Kipper wasn't getting run. He was being screened, and your team doesn't like that. Shoot right on Kipper and he will catch it every time. Screen him, he is like a baby grabbing at candy being thrown at him. Your team just gets upset if there is a body in front of Kipper.

I agree with everything you said, but I would like to add a huge suspension for Mclennan. I mean, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT??? I am amazed to see the Flames dissolve like they did. I always imagined them to be a somewhat civilized hockey team, but to do what they did in the last 5 minutes? No. My Wife is a Calgary Fan (mainly just because she like Kipper), and she was laid up in bed with a headache most of the game, but came out and watched just before Datsyuk's goal. She had this to say: About Calgary: "They look like a bunch of little boys with no balls!" About Playfair: "Idiot!", "I hope they are taking resumés for coach after this.", "He dresses worse than he coaches!", "His name is now Hairless-Nutsack-Boy!" About Mclennan after his hit on Franzen: "What the HELL?", "Idiot!" Then, to finish off the game: "I guess the Flames don't want the cup after all." I love her, I really do............................ GO WINGS GO!!!! I can see them taking the momentum from this game to Calgary tommorow night and finishing it there. My three stars: #1: Zetter for his pair of goals. #2: Cleary - no explanation needed if you watched the game. #3: Chellios for his shorty.

I guess I just don't see what you are. The Wings are creating some good chances - and the Flames are really only getting lucky bounces and such. I see the Wings totally playing better than the Flames on this game, and have faith that they will win it with some fabulous play in the final 2 periods. The other refs need to sit that one ref who waved off the goal down and teach him what Goalie Interfernce is. That was a crap call.

Except that Babcock works with these guys every day. He knows them, and he knows how they work together. Watching the games doesn't give you that same knowledge.

People have been saying that given the past 2 games we should expect doubt from some fans. I don't agree. Doubt is not what we have seen from these boards. We have seen people basically acting like people on the street corner proclaiming the end of the world. We have just lost 2 games. But right before that, we won 2 games. That means we are even. So please tell me how that means that our season is over?? Have some faith! I agree Lang looks bad on the ice, but have some faith in Babcock. He works with these same guys every day. He knows them, and how they work together - watching them play does not endow you with the same knowledge People have been saying that given the way the series has been going, the Wings will lose. I just don't see it that way - Given the way the season has gone, the Wings will win Game 5, the Flames will win Game 6, and the Wings will win Game 7. I mean really think about it. After game 2, any time someone came up on the boards and said "Who will we play next?", or "This series is over!" Everyone up here said, "The series isn't over until one team has 4 wins." Why in the world can you noy apply that to your own worries? Let the Wings play. Have faith in them. Please!!!

The only good thing about these late games is that I will be out of the extended hours we have at the Museum I work at. We get out at 8:00, I won't get home till about 9:00. Then I get to watch the game - NOT RECORDED!!! Well. I'm sure my wife will be asleep, so I will be catching everyone on intermissions, running into the computer inour bedroom during intermissions. See you all then.

I think the Wings have settled down now. They see the end of the series on the horizon. Win this one, and go finish it at home. I think they have realized that the Saddledome just isn't that intimidating. Wings win 4-2. Fourth goal coming as an Empty Netter. Maybe the Wings can get their Special Teams going as well!

Watched the hit. His skates leave the ice after he has connected with Phaneuf. Watch it again. He was going for the puck. Phaneuf got the puck, so he got hit. How is that charging?

You may have been there - but you only saw it once. We at home had the benefit of seeing it multiple times from multiple angles. No elbow to the head. Clean hit. Not just because it was a Wing doing the hitting. Just a clean hit. About Bertuzzi. Go ahead - get a cuncussion, have back surgery, and go skate in a game where you are getting hit around all night. He had bee the target all night, it wasn't Primeau's small hit on Bert that caused him to hurt, it was the whole night. You were nice when you first started on the boards here.
