The papers are saying that Luongo and the Canucks have already agreed to a 5 year 8 mil per contract and it will be announced July 1st. IMO, that's waaaay to much for Luongo.

I think you guys are a little harsh on them. They're all new to hockey and don't understand the game yet. They didn't even have fans 3 years ago did they? I think they're all in shock because for the first time in the playoffs they saw an opposing team play defense.

Given the fact he's an AHL player trying to adjust to the NHL so quickly against playoff caliber teams I'd say he's doing great so far. Almost all of his mistakes are what inexperienced players make. 2-3 years from now I wouldn't doubt these mistakes will be gopne and his positioning is outstanding. I've seen nothing of his play so far to make me think anything other than he will be at least a very good player in the future in the NHL.

Kronwall or anyone with a 5 goal lead would be stupid to drop the gloves. They have nothing to gain from it. Gutless is not manning up as a teammate and biding your time to make a good hit later on on the player that did it to your player. I think it's a joke that any time there's a great hockey hit nowadays there has to be a fight with 3 or 4 players jumping on someone. Or a player charges in and hits someone from behind after a great hit. THAT'S gutless. Gutless is like when Kane comes late to scrums and spears people. Gutless is taking a few whacks at the goalie and then a player confronts you and you start skating backwards, then the player makes you his ***** and takes the mouthguard out of your mouth and throws it on the ice and you just back away faster. Gutless is talking crap in the papers but playing like a bunch of sissies with their heads on swivels on the ice afraid to get plastered like their buddy Havlat did. I didn't see Kronwall or Stuart backing down from hitting the Hawk players after all the tough talk from Campbell. If they had THAT would have been gutless.

Yea, the Central is tough this year. Nashville gives us problems, CBJ looks good and that other team is young and improving. Anyone have a link to show the Central divisions record against other teams?

Good. I hope every announcer and "hockey expert" out there says the Wings don't have a chance and give a million reasons as to why they think that. I hope every Wing player reads it and motivates them. Clement has never shown much like towards the Wings, i agree, but if this were someone who praised the Wings every chance we'd all think he was a great guy whether he was correct or not. It's just an opinion. Just like most of ours that we disagree with him.

Nope. I think so too. The Wings outworked the Ducks. Game 2 I see the Ducks coming out VERY hard the first 5 minutes, maybe even taking penalties to hit and "send a message" for the rest of the game. If the Wings can get past that, we may have the upper hand the rest of the game.

As much as I love our puck possesion and great defense, I'm SO proud of how gritty we've become. Win or lose, I'm so proud of this Wings team. I love watching this team that has so much heart and desire.
