I agree that the leafs have a great fan base, I mean really all the canadien teams have good fans that support thier team and know thier hockey. The wings fan base is huge and we have good fan support but the fans in the seats are really not there sometimes...

I agree, I hate espn but NHL needs the tv time to help the ratings of the sport.....So I am for espn picking it back up, but does not affect me or my center ice either way....

People this could very well happen, I hated cheater forsberg as much as anybody else but the fact is he is swede, he is a fa and the wings need a top 6 forward.... If we sign him for cheap and incentives it will be a good deal, The guy is old but he has the ability to feed pucks and draw multiple defenders which opens up a shot, something sammy needs......... And for the love of god stop bashing players from ancient history, The avs suck now and there is no rivalry going with a team that can't make the playoffs.... As I said i hated him too but he is no longer a av and that was like forever ago, Let it go....

honestly if you don't watch hockey then why would you be on the forums, Flip is Stevie Y best find so far. He has played great in the playoffs to prove that. I think we should pick up Yashin if the price is right but I wouldn't count on us picking up anybody else just yet. we will go into the season with our young kids, have some $$$ in the bank for any problems we encounter.

Bring back Probert if you want a tough guy in Detroit or Kocur for that matter... The tough guy is not a huge factor in the new NHL, Slow guys = PIMs and PIMs = losing, Yeah This is pointless because none of these guys will where the winged wheel anyways. To all the people who like the old nhl and the slow paced tough game, go watch it on your console floor tv and VCR cause I will be watching some fast paced new NHL hockey in HD on my 70" plasma, Yeah take that, everyone always cryin we need a tough guy, Stop whining and break out your VCR cause the game has changed and for the better. We did great, dropped alot of dead weight and have some $$$ to boot. I didn't want to lose #23 but He had a attitude that just wasn't hockeytown anyways, our young kids will produce with ice time, so no worries there. I still think our powerplay will lack scoring though. I hope we can add a sniper forward to the team before it's all said and time to drop the puck... Good job Kenny!!!

You don't really know much about hockey for posting this, We have made some good moves to free some cap for the future as well, Nicky's contract is up next year as well, we needed to get rid of all the overpaid underachievers anyways. Good Job Holland keep it up...

It's horrible, the economy in michigan is low. There are plenty of redwings fans still in the building so why are they quiet. I live in texas and watch all the games but I only see a handful of fans trying to get up and get loud. We are HockeyTown damnit, The people should get loud and support the team, give them some inspiration by doing so!! Remember people the fans help take the away team off thier game. ( looks like a bunch of yuppies, drinking beer at the joe, so very sad considering we are HOCKEYTOWN) O.k I can breath now, I got it off my chest...........

First off I have to say that I absolutely hate dallas, but i would prefer to play them for 2 reasons.. 1. We have owned them this year!! 2. I live in texas so I will get to go to a game and see the wings beat them again... P.s San jose scares me as well, big tough team that has plenty of talent, so yeah I'm pulling for dallas...

It's all good, Calgary threw everything they had at us and we prevailed...Even in canada...Even the cheap shots they hit us with and especially with the ridiculous calls... So in short we won the first round so stop whinning about the sh*tty calls that every team gets while their away !!! Thank you,

Wow, I thought I was the only one in Austin that is a diehard wings fan!! Where exactly is legends at? I usually watch games via center ice or go to little woodrow's on Parmer in N Austin. The hostess there is a huge wings fan and they usually have the games from versus on.... I will see you guys at legends on sun but need to know where it is at?
