I watch it I play it and have for quite a while now, this was a light hearted thread and some of you need to chill out a bit. I don't think that the NHL would allow a bungee cord attached to the net. Lighten up people he's a good goalie no one is diputing that.

I think we need to sign Hank to a 7 year deal as well, those two make each other better. It would be kind of like separating the Sedins or something. Plus they are both young and still have plenty of upside both are capable of 90-100 points if healthy. Also I like Franzen on that line, Babcock tried that combo a few times and I think it worked well. Franzen is a big guy that can skate well and has some sick moves, keep it up guys.

Read the Title and my original post, Good GOALIE, just needs to not play the puck as much he makes bad decisions about that and it caused 1 Goal already almost another last night if not for Lidstrom.

Every time I see Bertuzzi I wonder why he is still on the ice with the top lines. He clearly doesn’t play a big mans game anymore. You don’t see him leaning on people to get to the middle with the puck or using his size to create openings. In fact it is getting really frustrating to watch him skate into the zone only to lose it off his stick and leave it behind him, even when he is in open ice. I hope that he is not back next year and think that he should be demoted to the 4th line for a while. Does anyone see what I see? Calder as well has not been very impressive I know he has injury concerns but I expected him to be better than this, I am not impressed with Hollands deadline deals but you have to give him a pass for the good teams he has given us.

What does everyone think Sammy filling in on third line D as opposed to bringing someone up if Lebda will not be able to go? I think I would feel better about him rather than a guy who hasno playoff experience.

Cleary has been consitently good, Bertuzzi has not shown us anything yet one big hit is not consistent (by the way he was helped by franzen on that one). There are other people who aren't doing anything but they aren't getting as much time as Bert and don't think they are worth 5 mil (I know he's not costing us much, great for this year, but tell him c'ya next year even at 3m)

Well, as I am watching the game today I see that itt would appear that I am not alone in my feeling of how Bertuzzi has been playing. Announcers, Babcock, and most importantly Bertuzzi (all much smarter than any of us). So for all of you with you Todd Bertuzzi love fest might want to put the crush aside and watch the games from now on. That being said given that Bertuzzi knows the problem he is having it looks like he is trying to drive to the net more often. A good step in the right direction. I still don't want him back at 4-5mil next season.

I think we got off topic, I know he will not be the player he was before, but i would like someone who can carry the puck for more that 50ft. Injured or not he deserves to be on the 4th line. When he plays beeter I will be the first to say move him up but now leave him back with lang.

Players miss time like that all the time and still can look better than that, look at Tim Connoly in Buffalo he missed the whole season with a CONCUSSION but still can make moves and passes that make players look bad. Enough excuses for bad play. Also if you remember Yzerman coming off knee surgery last year seemed like the only player who wanted to play in the series against Edmonton. At his age and with his problems he was better than bertuzzi has been. Good players find a way to play hard at least. Bertuzzi is coasting.

What style fits a big man that can't stay on his skates and can't carry the puck. Maybe Lacrosse would be a better idea for him

We can use Kopecky next season that leaves us needing a goalie and a Forward. I think Bertuzzi should go, he's not worth 5m. We can sign a mid level forward like Zubrus or Zednik that has experience and can get 20-20 or maybe even 30-30. This will leave us a little room to sign a Goalie (I don't know about you but I don't feel good about starting next season with Osgood, Howard, or Hasek 1 year older).
