I was born in 58, sadly the last year the Lions have won anything. Always been a Wings fan but didn't really start paying close attention until 92 or 93. Now I only miss an average of 2 or 3 games a year. You can't pry the remote from my hands when they're on. And the wife knows not to try.

I've been a fan a long time and have never dogged the Wings...not even the Lions...true fan. Where do I get a red wings card

I like Avery, he plays hard, with passion and doesn't play dirty that I can remember. Not sure we could afford him tho

I think a goalie should have the right to do whatever to keep the puck out of the net short of anything unsportsmanlike, like slashing or whatever. Which is to say, if he feels he has to come out and tackle someone, I say more power to him. It makes for a more exciting game. So if he needs to do a "Hasek" to win the game, then I'm all for it.

I can't say I'm a fan of a sport that has way overpaid athletes running back and forth in squeaky tennis shoes. Yes he is. When he walks into a room people pass out...give me a break. I remember when Hank was leading at the beginning of the season, he still hardly got mention and the talk was still about how great Crosby is. It's all media hype. Z is a better all round player, I would pick AO over sid the kid anyday(imagine he and Dats together) and we already have the best player in hockey...Lids. So let the media give him all the hype while we skate off with the cup

I think Ericsson still needs a little more time with GR. I think Meech has earned a spot but , with that said, I'm not partial to Meech, Lilja or Lebda. I'm just glad Rafalski is back. YA BABY!!! edit sp?

Inconsistant goal tending? We've had a short slump, well maybe not so short, but other than that our goalies have been stellar. What team are you watching?

I like Ericsson but don't think he is quite ready. But next year.... I'm not a big Lebda fan, he gave up the puck quite a bit last night. But, Him and Lilja seem to play better when Lids, Ralfs Krons and Cheli are on the ice and they don't have the pressure of being the only defensemen not from G.R.

I agree with an earlier poster that stated that the pads should be appropriate to the size of the goalie. We don't need bigger nets or more scoring. It's not uncommon for a game to have 5+ goals in it. Bigger nets would bring football type scores to the game. If you're going to do that, you may as well tell pitchers in baseball to throw the ball slower and directly over the plate so you can have more homeruns and higher scores. Same with soccer - goalies can't be over 4 foot tall. If your going to do anything shrink the pads some but don't make the nets bigger. J.S. may have to down grade from a kingsize mattress to full size but that's the breaks.

Pretty negative article I thought. It will all be forgotten though, once McCarty lays out Pronger in the playoffs. Go Darren...stay focused.

I think for his first 2 NHL games he looked pretty good. Definately a keeper.
