I declare a brain fart... lol for some reason I had a picture in my head of Modano wearing 90 some time ago.

They give 96 to Holmstrom...nice to see Homer at the top of the list on something. Also wondering why Juneau beat out Modano. Is there a story there I don't know about?

I still don't understand the hate on Ozzie. If players like Hossa would have showed up in '09 we could have possibly had back to back cups. Granted there were a lot of injuries but Ozzie was stellar and was Conn Smythe worthy that year. I also think he would have had better numbers last season if he would have been allowed to play more than once every 15 - 20 games. I think it would be hard to find any goalie to play once every 20 games and still be in game form.

No game should be decided by a skills contest. It's a team effort. Let them do 4 on 4 for 10 minutes then 3 on 3 for 5minutes. If nobody's won by then, it's a tie. While I like watching shootouts and how Dats can baffle a goalie, a game shouldn't be decided that way. That's just my opinion...I could be wrong

That is so awesome. My wife is a little more than a casual fan. She was a big fan of Shanny's, now it's a toss up between Z and Homer. She loves going to games, tho we only have been able to go to a few, she'll watch playoff games with me. During the regular season tho, she will hang on the computer and come watch the replays when we score or when she hears me yelling at the refs lol. She too, hate Sindey Crosby!

During the summer I have tried many things to take my mind off hockey. First I tried a new hobby of building birdhouses... but that didn't go as well as I wanted, so I tried to make a chair for my wife to show my love for her during the off season... Needless to say, this didn't go over very well either. At least I have Game 7 (Yotes) tonight at 6 on the NHL network.

I have a few thousand that I've collected here and there over the past 20 years....I should probably check them. On a related note, I used to collect baseball cards when I was a kid "the 60's" I had like 3 grocery bags full and my dad threw them away one day while I was in the Navy to make room in his garage. We're talking Mickey Mantle, Al Kaline and on and on. I was pretty pissed at my dad. Well since then, over the past few years, my mom told me she felt bad about the whole ordeal and now searches garage sales and buys whatever cards they have whether baseball, football, hockey or what ever. Shes actually found some real keepers. She brought me a shoebox full of baseball cards she got for $1 and it had a Nolan Ryan rookie card in it. It's kind of inspired me to back into collecting a little more seriously.

Good point, and I'm not a marketing major either, I just think they would want to hype someone in each region or a rivalry type thing to peak more interest. I guess that would be up to local networks to do tho. Hockey barely gets any promotion as it is. I would just like to see more, not just more of Sidney.

Why do they have to market 1 player? There's plenty of marketable players to attract different markets, plus, people won't get annoyed hearing about the same player over and over and over. I think, imho, if there wasn't so much hype about Sidney, he probably would be better liked and respected around the league.
