I don't think Stuart has been too bad this year to be honest, he's certainly not as bad as the guy a few posts up seems to think he is. In terms of defense, I think he's had a better season than Kronwall. Too lazy to look up +/- stats, but while he hasn't been perfect by any means I don't think he's been as bad as some people say. Clearly has had a bit of an off season. It seems that getting hit in the face with a puck last year really set him back or something. He's had a lot of trouble finishing this year. With that said I love the guy and his style is perfectly suited for the playoffs, so I expect we'll see him pick up his play a bit in the coming weeks. I think some people expect too much from him. He had that one great season for us in terms of production but his role on this team is not that of a goal scorer. It would be nice to see him chip in a couple goals in the playoffs but if he can play anything like he did in the playoffs two years ago it will be a huge boost for us.

PERFECT SCHEDULE! No early afternoon games and only one Wednesday night game (I work on Wednesday evenings). Can't wait.

The Jackets always play us hard and I'm sure they will step it up another notch for the playoffs. Rick Nash scares me and he'll have something to prove in his first playoff appearance. The short travel distance is very nice though and will serve us well if we can make it past the first round. There's no reason why we shouldn't win, but hey, how many times have we said that before? It all comes down to Mason vs. Osgood. If Mason doesn't drastically outplay Osgood, the Jackets probably have no chance.

For some reason Columbus is just as scary to me as Anaheim. Probably because of our playoff history with cinderella teams (I'll consider Columbus a cinderella team with it being their first time in the big dance). But I still want St. Louis to win because a Sharks/Ducks series has been a long time coming.

It's weird how we just had a season of 50+ wins and the only games I remember are the losses. Doesn't it seem like there's no way we could have had 50 wins? Well, no more excuses. Next week we find out what this team is really made of. I can't wait. I hope we start Thursday because I am working Wednesday night.

I'm just glad it happened in a meaningless game. It would suck to have paid to see that though. Wake me up when the playoffs start.

I can only assume Babcock put Cleary out there to try to break him out of his slump. I would have put Franzen out, but the game meant nothing to the Wings. Gotta give the Preds some credit here. I hope they don't make the playoffs though, they are boring as hell to watch.

Oh well. Important thing to me is Ozzie played well, because our players are obviously just waiting for the playoffs to start. Just pray we don't play Nashville. They bring out the worst in us.

I hope we can see Lils again this season. He has shown such a massive improvement from a few seasons ago. Get well soon, Lilja.

I voted for Datsyuk, but if I wasn't a Wings fan I would have definitely voted for Ryan. What a beauty. He's running away with it right now.

Looking pretty likely we'll play the Ducks, which I think is awesome. It would be entertaining first of all, and also our players would be hungry for revenge from the last two times Anaheim knocked us out. Could be the little extra motivation our guys need to get rolling again. Plus I don't think any of us really want to play the Preds again.

I think this was almost a must win game for us because of Babcock's comments after the last game. We needed to respond with a win and I'm glad to see that we did just that. I hate how the game was at 12:30 though, I missed it due to work. Ozzie's puckhandling has been atrocious in the last few games. Hopefully he can get things together to close off the season here. It would be nice to have a winning streak going into the playoffs.

This was a really disappointing game. These last few have been painful to watch, our guys just don't seem to care. I'm not panicking yet though, I still have confidence (believe it or not) that we will get solid goaltending in the playoffs and also I think that Helm/Leino will provide a nice spark. I don't understand why they aren't playing for us right now actually, we need some new bodies out there. Glad to hear Babcock tore into the guys. I can't see us not winning Sunday (why did they have to make the game so early, I'll be at work). This team won the Cup a year ago, unless we gp down 3-0 in the first round I don't see why we can't get things together here.

I'm starting to think the number one seed is pretty irrelevant because there's a real good chance that one of these fiesty 6th-10th place teams will upset either us or the Sharks in the first round (maybe both). I hate games like this where every shot we take is from the outside. I think Rinne only had a handful of tough saves to make. I'd lke to see Helm brought up for some energy in our lineup.

I don't think anyone on this board will argue that Zetterberg has been better than Datsyuk this season. Right now Datsyuk is looking like the best player in the league.

Take comfort in the fact that we should have won this game. Hope Ozzie's okay, let's not get too worked up over this one. Kind of sucks for Conklin that he's gonna get credited with the loss since he was in for the GWG.

Great game by Ozzie. I'm glad Cleary got that last goal because the penalty they called on him before that was horrible and led to a Thrashers goal. Looking forward to Monday.
