I don't get why he has not been playing. He played in the last 4 games before the playoffs, played in game 1, and that was it. If babcock trusted him in the must win game before the playoffs, why not now? I am not saying we are going to win if he is in the lineup, but he plays a style of hockey that fits for the playoffs. Edit: Also tatar should be up gaining playoff expereince. -

The league has made it clear, hits to the head are ok as long as it is not a shoulder or an elbow. I don't know how the league can look at that video and see nothing wrong. Not only was the head the principle point of contact, it was just about the only point of contact. -

Anyone else notice the increase in forechecking by the hawks as the game went on? They could see that the wings were turnover prone, and just increased the pressure. -

Howie was good tonight, but those first 2 goals he let in were weak by his standards. They were not softies, but he has shown he is capable of making those saves. he'll come out next game and prove it. The wings need to minimize their turnovers, and just shoot the damn puck. The PP needs to be better, they had 3 chances to take the lead and failed. If they score on one of those it's a completely different game. -

This game reminds me too much of the ducks game 1. chicago is good but man did the wings play like crap. -

This this is the NHL smith is going to have to win those puck battles along the boards. You can't have players coming over to help him out all the time, the hawks will burn the wings if they do.
