I did too, if there was one team I wanted to win the cup other than the wings it was them (better than the pens/hawks). Not now, I have never seen so much diving in my life. They drop to the ice from any contact. It's not just one player it's all of them. It's to the point where I think todd is telling them to dive.

I really want to see a diving call in the next game. Funny how the wings get called for it against phx. If I was a ref and seen how these players are trying to manipulate my calls greatly. I would call the diving s*** and cut off before it came a problem. This is why the NHL will always be at the bottom, and college hockey will be #1 in my eyes. Heck at least in the NBA they made an effort to remove flopping.

Not worried it's the sharks, they always make a series harder than it should be. This series will probably end up going 7.

It's hard to play well when you are on the PK for half of the game it becomes exhausting.

League is starting to piss me off. Players getting hit in the face and needing stitches. Lids and now Franzen you can't miss calls like those in the playoffs. How do the refs think these players are getting cut. What was even worse was the fact the wings got 0 make up calls for it. They only got one PP in the 3rd, on an automatic penalty.

When is this league going to start cracking down on diving? Is it not a rule anymore or something looking at the rule book it is. The league is supposed to review those plays and fine them if they thought it was a dive. 64.1 Diving / Embellishment – Any player or goalkeeper who blatantly dives, embellishes a fall or a reaction, or who feigns an injury shall be penalized with a minor penalty under this rule. A goalkeeper who deliberately initiates contact with an attacking player other than to establish position in the crease, or who otherwise acts to create the appearance of other than incidental contact with an attacking player, is subject to the assessment of a minor penalty for diving / embellishment.

Don't worry wings lost game 1 in 2007 came back and won it in 6.

I knew once the wings had all those PP's in a row they were not going to give them anymore. The yotes played the "they can't possibly call of these penalties on us"card. The same card as the ducks If you watch CCHA hockey you will know of a ref named Shegos. You know when one team gets a PP the other team is going to receive the next PP (She goes both ways ).

Sadly that first goal really was the game, he has to make that save. I would put 20% of the loss on Howard. The wings had their chances to even it up at 1 with the 5 on 3, but they could not even do that. I think they only managed 2 shots on it, HORRIBLE!

I thought he should have called a Time Out after the first goal. A shorthanded goal that early in the game throws a red-flag up on how the D was going to play today.
