Did you hear what babs said during the interview in between play? That he does not like shuffling lines, and wants the guys to play out of it.

I have been noticing this a lot in the first 2 periods that the flames were taking forever with the puck behind their net. The fans were starting to boo lol .If you make no attempt to press the puck up the ice can that be called a delay of game?

They play the blues next tomorrow night at St. Louis. Does not really matter who they play as they are not going to win games if they can't score. Mason is just going to look like a HOF goaltender.

Babcock needs to just pull the lines out of a hat and just go with it.

Their movement on the Power Play is horrible. Everyone is just sitting on the outside with one person standing in front of the net. Then they just pass the puck in circles with no one moving around.

I don't know if I would really call that boarding. I see boarding as more of hitting someone in the back to put them face first into the glass. OV hits him on the side and launches him at an angle into the glass. Also players need to stop turning there bodies in towards the glass, after making a play.

Come on federov, they increased the cost of beer at the Joe so the wings could afford to keep you around as long as they did.

Nice come back by the wings to get a point, but really less try a little more in the shootout. Dats did not even try to deke... If you are going to shoot at least do a shoulder fake or something to freeze the goalie.

He made 2 big saves before giving up that first goal. When the goalie has to make big saves 20 seconds in the game you know it's going to be a looonnnngggg night.

I thought the Oilers were the team that was flu bitten I would never have guess that from that 1st period display by the Wings.

This team needs a shake up trade. I fear they have gone the way of the 2004 Pistons, and feel like the games should just be handed to them and playing lazy.

He is trying to show owners and display to them how anyone can win in the NHL. When you have the same team winning over and over again does not help your cause. If the wings bring in $$$ don't you think you would at least see one commercial about them or their players? The NHL is doing to hockey what the NBA did to basketball or MTV did to music . Both sports are great but at the pro level they suck. College hockey will always be #1 over the NHL for me. The NHL is trying to hard to make a product that they are ruining a great sport. The league heads are stupid. You have idiotic things such as the trapezoid rule . Now players are racing for the pucks along the boards and getting hurt. Then the debate of touch icings comes up. Next is the tear drop post when they could just fix the size of goalies equipment. The punishments and fines have become a joke. They make an example out of one player and let the rest slide.

The Ducks take you down with them. After playing the ducks you might as well lost the series, because the team playing them will be so banged up afterwards. Lucky bastards in the east don't have to play the ducks!!!

I dont have any comfort Gary is a happy man tonight the Pens win and the wings lose. That is a Win Win situation for him. I was also dissapointed in wings fans at the game BOO LOUDER. He was in our building and the boos were pretty tame.

Not to mention the constant offsides, horrible passing, and mistimed pinching. To be honest the way the wings played against the ducks is the same way they played against the pens. Game 7 of that series could have gone the same as this series(and probably should have). Remember game 6 of the Ducks series it played out exactly the same. We spot them a 2 goal lead then fight and claw back in the 3rd. Both of these series had no business going 7 games. The penguins are a good team not trying to take anything away from them, but the wings slacked off. The penguins took hold of the opportunity.

When it came to the third and they were down 2-0 and the D men were still just sitting back. When ever a puck was dumped around the board it was like they let the penguins grab it then go back on D. That is not how you play puck possesion. Even the announcers were saying why are the D men playing behind the blue line so far. No one was skating even in the third when they had all the chances players were just standing still. They would pass the puck and just stay in the same spot. It was really frustrating to watch. Everything was on the outside, made it really easy for the Penguins Defenders. I think Illitch should give the fans 2/3 of their money back.

Yeah the lions are not a bad organization. If you actually look up how much that organization is worth it will blow your mind. If you are going for worst organizations you have to go with a teams that relocated. That being said though the Clippers are terrible. Why does LA even have two NBA teams. When one just sucks and the other is lights out.

The refs were running out of time and they needed to call something. A team can not go the entire game with out committing a penalty. That would look very odd. The one things that makes me mad and we will never know is. Would the wings even get a PP in the third if they tied it up at 1. We know how much the refs hate calling penalties in the 3rd unless it is blatant. They have no problem with giving them to a team that is down to tie it up though.

That was clearly a high stick, the ref was looking right at it. The refs have been terrible this series so far. In games 1+2 they should have shown that were not going to put up with this interference crap by both teams. The refs have lost control of this series and there is no way to get it back with out having a game with 8 PP's for both teams. This is nothing like old time hockey, the refs are picking and choosing which calls to make. You could see it on the Malkin cross check he was not going to put his hand up at first. It's still better than the NBA refs who anticipate a foul before it even happens. Not only have the refs been terrible, but so have the linesman. They are missing offsides left and right, and it looks like they flip coins on the icings lol Even more ridiculous then the pens having 6 skaters on the ice for 23 seconds, and the officials don't even blink?

I really wish Dan would did a shoulder fake or someting. He was selling backhand the whole time.
