By those stats, Sammy is even better....

It actually works that if you have a 5 min major and score on the power play you are 1/1 and a new power play begins, if you only score once on it, you are 1/2, once you have a major powerplay it is impossible to be at 100%

Those were Bauer helmets

I can't believe how deep some of you look into s***. Like seriously, what if the wings were 1-5, I wouldn't even log on. I'd be willing to bet half of you are the people that call in to radio talk shows saying that the wings should bench Ozzie and play Conklin, while 4 months ago saying that we should bench Hasek and play Osgood. Take a f***in chill pill.

probably getting more money from them

Gary Thorne is one of the worst hockey announcers I have ever heard, I'd love to have some Dave Strader though...

Really? I mean, really? That just blew my mind. 1. Seance - attempt to revive the dead, usually at a cemetery. 2. Sense - a manner in which the body perceives an outside input. You have five of them. 3. Cents - pennies. One hundredth of a dollar. You were looking for option three here. It means that you would like add something to a conversation that you do not feel has much value. (from Wikipedia) "My two cents" and its longer version "put my two cents in" is an American idiomatic expression, taken from the original British idiom expression: to put in "my two pennies worth" or "my tuppence worth". It used to preface the tentative stating of one’s opinion. By deprecating the opinion to follow — suggesting its value is only two cents, a very small amount — the user of the phrase hopes to lessen the impact of a possibly contentious statement, showing politeness and humility. However, it is also sometimes used with irony when expressing a strongly felt opinion. The phrase is also used out of habit to preface uncontentious opinions.

There was a point last summer where I saw a different Continental GT every day for a week and a half. The Continental GT is not nearly the same price as a traditional Bentley, in fact, a BMW 760Li or Mercedes S65 AMG cost just as much as a C GT. I guess you have to know cars a little more in depth than the common person to know that the Continental GT isn't the ultra-expensive car that is attached with the Bentley nameplate. Now an Arnage, Azure, Brooklands, those are the ultra-expensive Bentleys.

In all honesty it is a very subdued car. It's a comfortable luxury coupe that isn't overly flashy. What did you expect him to drive? Did you miss the Range Rover and Navigator in the background. The Bentley is exactly what I would expect someone as modest as Nick to drive. It is very much like him, understated, classy, not flashy at all and in the realm of cars it really isn't overly expensive.

I play at Troy sports center, Sunday night D and Tuesday night C, I'm outta shape, in shape I'm probably a solid B level player though

My Dad is a huge hockey fan and I got my first skates when I was 4 years old and have been watching and playing ever since. I owe all of my interest in sports to my Dad, which means I have to take the good with the bad. Good - Wings, U of M Football Bad - Lions

Bure Paul Ysebart or John Ogrodnick

uhh wtf was that red wings conference titles thing? if they mean advancing to the finals like the pennant for baseball well they should have had one listed for this year and if they mean best record in the conference there should be many years listed

Pearson, to be voted the best by your peers is far more prestigious than anything else you can win.

It's not just the simple typo like if they had spelled any other players name wrong. It is just another example in a long line of people who can't get his name right. It's a shame that the greatest defenseman of his era gets his name mispronounced more often than it is pronounced correctly. I mean the broadcasters will listen everytime Huet wants his name pronounced differently, but Lidstrom almost always gets an 'n' tossed in there incorrectly.

1st overall pick, end of story. Sure you get more picks the other way, but the Red Wings have proved time and time again that they get the most out of the picks they do get. Someone mentioned 02 where the wings didn't pick until #58 and picked Hudler, Fleischmann (traded for Lang), Filppula, Meech, and Ericsson I would rather have all those players plus Rick Nash. You think just because they pick early doesn't mean they wouldn't be able to pick those same players late in the draft? Yeah right. I'm far too lazy to look it all up but if you took a list of all the players picked with the #1 pick in the first 5 rounds of each draft for the last say 10-15 years and all the players taken with the #20 and #30 picks in the first 5 rounds of the same time frame, my team would ruin the other team.

I believe since he is dressed it counts or else there would be very few back ups to ever get their name on the cup
