Was just wondering if i'd missed it or if the NHL has really been doing all they could against detroit these days. Considering the numerous non calls against the wings these past few games, the disallowed goal and so on....I was really expecting Hemsky to get at least 3games out of this hit on ericsson. Thoughts?

Just watched the game. The league really need to do something to actually use the video to overturn referee's decision. I just can't believe the glendenning penalty in the first for something that did not even exists, and it lead to the canceling of a goal. Referees were bad during the Holmstrom era, but here this is even worse!!! I'd like to see a coach challenge, like they do in the nfl!... All in all video becomes fairly useless if we can't use it to actually help making the right call on the ice. Sure you can't use it for every penalty, but every time a goal decision is pending, they should automatically use it. Oh and is Nestrasil actually bringing anything? pains me to see him doing nothing and having a 5,5million guy benched!
