That might be pushing it too far. They have alot of good talent, but there's a reason the best of those leagues eventually jump to the NHL.

In an effort to preserve my rugged manliness, I choose to defer the above the above question........ I lift weights Peanut Butter or Jelly?

Not bored. Just relaxing TPBM is getting extremely tired of all the "we're screwed" and "Let's Sign (insert old-guy-who-is-past-his-prime-and-injury-prone,-but-he's-old-so-that-means-he-is-the-second-coming-of-Dallas-Drake-and-therefore-is-the-answer-to-all-our-problems here)" threads.
-
Have one. And its broken....
-
Were screwed. Trade Datsyuk, Zetterberg, and Franzen and start over from square one. Or maybe we should wait until the season starts to panic

I remember Peltonen 12 years ago when he was with Nashville. Showed promise at times, but also horribly inconsistent and injury prone. Has also had a history of off-the-ice incidents in the NHL and in Europe.
-
If this is true, this offseason just went from "ouch" to "f***!"
-
Working with one. Death metal or gangster rap?
-
Nope. All skippy here. TPBM just got home.

Class you hate with a good teacher...I had three situations in particular where a teacher turned an ordinary/boring subject into my favorirte class "This or that" or "The Person Below Me" ?
-
You know you've set the Fail Standard when you get the entire franchise suspended... From AHL Web Site Rumor is the club's owners used the franchise as collateral for a loan, a GARGANTUAN no-no in any sports league, and overall just a stupid move in any field of business.

The Girl doesn't really give me a choice.... TPBM is going through a significant change in their life.
-
I'd just slash them in the back of the leg and then skate like my life depended on it Steve Martin or Richard Pryor?
-
Highway or country back road Lake Michigan or Lake Huron?
-
Kind of. Just bought a 68 Chevelle that I plan on restoring TPBM went out for dinner

Soooo Howard has never played more than 3 NHL games in a season, and yet people are acting like he's the worst goalie ever invented in the history of ever. Perhaps we should wait until we pass judgement? Obviously Kenny and Babs have enough confidence to keep him around, so that's good enough for me.

I think an overall testament to the game this guy plays: Back two or three years ago, Bryan Marchment (at 6'7) took a late slap at Vokoun after the whistle. Nichol (at about 5'9) IMMEDIATELY comes over with no hesitation, drops the gloves, and starts firing lefts at the guy nearly a full foot taller than him. He plays about a foot taller than he actually is.
-
From what I understand, Oulahen is out of minor-league options. So unless Kenny plans on waiving him he wouldn't have a choice but to put on the roster
-
One guy I would love to see is Scotty Nichol. Speedy, scrappy, brings alot of intensity and alot of physicality for a guy his size. He's been for the most part healthy (missed some time last year when Burrows hit him from behind). Another big thing about him I like....Good solid penalty killer; something the Wings really need to improve on.

#1. Have you talked to Bertuzzi lately? I'm interested on how you know he would sign "for cheap." We could potentially have no more than 950K to spend if Hudler and Leino resign. There are teams that would pay Bertuzzi twice that. #2. We don't NEED another top 6 forward. Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Franzen-Cleary-Holmstrom-Filpulla-Hudler-Leino, all of these guys are snipers/playmakers/scorers that would benefit most from getting in a top 6 situation. What we need is a grinding, tough, energy guy. Look who won the Cup for Pittsburgh: Kennedy-Staal-Talbot. Their third line outplayed our third line by getting to loose pucks quicker, winning the physical battles, etc. Bertuzzi is a big guy, but he's slow, injury-prone, not great defensively. He's not fit to match up against energy guys from other teams. THAT'S who we need: a depth player that can match the speed, intensity, and physicality of other depth players.
-
By this logic, every team in the NHL isn't that great at drafting.
-
Why does everyone think Bertuzzi can contribute as a top 6 forward? His scoring touch isn't there anymore. He's slow and won't bring much energy. Plus since the lockout he's missed almost as many games as he's played in. If we're looking for grit and energy; I want a scrappy guy who can also contribute defensively. Someone like Moen or Nichol. Neither are bonafide scorers, but they'll bring in hustle, intensity, a physical presence, AND are both great on the PK

105-110 pts....No worse than 2nd....Zetterberg, Datsyuk, and Franzen each get 30+

Ulfy Pacman or Frogger?

I like it to be as dark as possible. But I can tolerate a little bit of light. TBPM notices what's wrong with this post.
