Favorite team or teams OTHER than the Wings

Follow the Preds regularly. And I have no idea why, but for some reason I've always liked Boston
  2. I think both talent-wise and financial-wise, both Wings and Pens are built for a few more years at the top. Really, I don't see another team right now that can provide a real challenge to Pittsburgh in the east. Washington has talent but no depth. Boston looks promising, but they're still a piece or two away. Same with Philadelphia. In the West, it looks like a tougher road. Chicago is getting better every year, and in a couple years could be a serious threat. San Jose has disappeared during playoff time, but much like Shanny was in 96-97, they might be one player away from finally getting over that hump (Heatley?). And while they look to be facing a brutal battle with the Cap this offseason, never count out Anaheim. They have a good mix of young up-and-coming stars and veteran leadership. So while the Wings are built to last at the top, they have a much tougher road to get there year after year.

    Why let Hudler go?

Hudler isn't strong enough to play consistently on the third line. He can sometimes create mismatches with his speed and offensive skills. But if you put him out there against a true-grinding third line, he gets manhandled and can't get anything going offensively. On the other end, he's not strong enough to play physical defense against those kinds of lines. He'd really do best on a scoring line. So basically it's who would you most want in you're top 6: Hossa or Hudler.

    Danny Heatley anyone?

Resigning Hossa would give us more room to add some depth players than getting Heatley's contract

    Sean Avery on Jimmy Fallon

I'm trying to find a clip of this. Did anybody see Sean Avery on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon? Avery had an accuracy challenge with Jimmy, and out of about 20-25 shots hit the target 3 times. Classic!

At least it wasn't a Penguin

What about when Steve Yzerman makes this decision?

Giving the C to Crosby would be a monumental slap in the face to the veterans on that squad. I can't see anybody but Sakic or Iginla right now. Possibly Niedermayer if theyre both out for some odd reason

    Pronger/Johnson rumors

I like how we were 2 posts away from winning the Cup and all of a sudden everyone wants to tear the core of our team apart.

You are a member of the NHL's Board of Governors

For Bettman, this has nothing to do with business. This is a personal grudge against Balsillie

    Your final words...

Last words: There's no point looking back. The only thing that matters now is what we do to change our future, and what we do to get the Cup back.

    Chris Pronger

I think Kenny is at the moment content with letting the current group of D-men develop. Ericsson actually is built alot like Pronger: tall and lanky, solid puck moving skills. You give him a few years, he possibly can be the type of D-man Pronger is. Also, don't count out guys like Kindl or Brendan Smith.

Draper ticked that Crosby snubbed Lidstrom

Usually because Pronger cross checks people into them

    Win This One For....

My grandmother passed away earlier this year. She was a diehard Wings fan all her life, and stuck with the team through thick and thin. Even when she was bedridden for the last couple months, she still followed the Wings. Alot of my love for the team came from her. I can all but guarantee she'll be watching this one somewhere

    USA Today article

My heart is fluttering now, I'd hate to think about what it would be doing in 2OT. I'm hoping for some 2002 Wings/Avs magic
  20. The way I see it, I'll be getting wasted either way....I'd much rather have it be a celebratory drinking binge than one to cover up my tortured soul
