The best thing about the refs is they set the standards early. They let the both teams know that any sort of late hit or away-from-the-play sitaution was going to result in a penalty. When Eager and Versteeg tried to stir some things up, they did a good job getting them off the ice.

It was Ninety-Sux who helped tie the game with two perfect screens. You can also ask why Sammy wasn't on his man (Sharp), why Osgood wasn't in the net, and why the team had 3 chances to clear and couldn't. You can't blame that entire sequence on Homer.
