1. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Canada cannot support another NHL team. Take that to the bank. 2. The point is to try to expand the game to new horizons. Taking teams out of the southern markets would hurt the sport way more than help it. Yeah it might get rid of empty arenas. But you will lose any chance of expanding the game if you do that. 3. Why would you dissolve the New York Islanders of all teams? Four time Stanley Cup winner: one of the greatest dynasties in all of sports: in THE largest market.

Bettman would never in a million years give this guy a franchise.

I'm getting kinda sick of all these prediction threads. First we're pissed because were picked to lose, then someone picks us and its a curse? Seriously guys, he's an analyst, this is his job. Who the hell cares if he picks us or not. Hockey games aren't decided by how other people pick games. Just my two cents....

That's hockey. Hitting is just a part of the game. People get hurt sometimes. You don't always want it to happen, but it happens. It was a clean, legal hit, and probably one of the best textbook bodychecks I've seen in a long time

Just make sure you're not in New Jersey....But that's always my favorite retort at Preds games

I really haven't been all that impressed with Dallas over the past couple of games (besides Turco). They've seemed to turn off that switch alot during that series; playing sloppy, lacking any intensity, bad turnovers, etc. Against a high puck-possesion team like Detroit, that could come back to bite them.

Neither team will be a walk in the park. I want to see Dallas, and in my opinion they are the tougher team. That top line is heating up and Turco has been fantastic.

Six months ago, Franzen had that same problem. If you work hard, if you do everything the coaches ask of you, you'll play.

This whole process kinda reminds me of college football recruiting. Everyone is giving him the exact same salary, so basically its a matter of what city he likes more, what system he fits in best, playing time, etc.

I live in Nashville, so I get crap from alot of people. Most of the time, I only trash-talk when its between me and my friends. If I'm at the game or some random place, I let the play do the talking. Unless someone says something really stupid or starts getting physical (people throwing stuff etc.), then I tend to get involved.
