At least Cross scored......once
-
Detroit is easily the biggest loser at the deadline
-
Why does everyone keep caling him Ser-Guy Fedorov?
-
If we don't make a move, then we may have just lost our status as the west's best team.
-
The Preds have been very coy about this the past week. It had been a rumor going around for a while, and everyone pretty much knew this would happen. All they can do now is move on and let the courts handle it.

THN's Costello: Laperriere's hit on Lidstrom not dirty
RedFX replied to Yzermania19's topic in General
Yeah the hit was clean. But you still don't go after the other team's captain. -
If a guy cheapshots your teammate, you handle it like a real hockey player, drop the gloves and go after him. If he doesn't want to go, fight him any way. Retalliating a cheap shot with another cheap shot is hypocritical, (Bertuzzi anyone?) Plus refs may not catch the original hit but they will always catch the retalliation.

They definitely have the goaltending to get it done, but there's not alot of depth both up front and on the blueline. If they make a couple moves at the deadline, I can see them as a big threat

I think the commercial would be funnier if it was Crosby and Armstrong. Armstrong: "They took care of me because of who I am." Crosby: "You?! Who are you?!?..........No seriously, who are you? I have no idea" Armstrong: "I'm Colby Armstrong. I play with the on the Penguins!" Crosby: "Are you the Russian guy?" Armstrong: "No! Dude, I was your line-mate the past 2 seasons!" Crosby: "What the hell is a line-mate?"

His stats are down over the past two years, but he is also no longer on a line with St. Louis. I think you put him on a line with Hank or Homer, then he would get a little more production. Still, getting him would likely mean losing Howard.

Hasek and Rafalski on IR - Ericsson & Hartigan Called Up
RedFX replied to 40#1Fan's topic in General
The other big story here, we FINALLY get to see the debut of Jonathan Ericsson -
I would give up Flip in a heartbeat if it meant landing Hossa. Last I heard, Boston was also making a big push for Hossa.
-
"I'm not too big on bench clearing brawls. I was in a couple in my day." Why do I picture him as Ned Braden from Slap Shot?
-
When did we start calling Vancouver local?
-
I would love to get Stuart. He's the big, physical stay-at-home guy we need. We would probably get him without giving up a major prospect.
-
There was alot of people (including the DetNews) saying we shouldn't do anything on the deadline. Based on these past couple weeks, I don't think we have any other choice but to make a big trade.
-
For the love of God, NO!

Throwing a guy into the #1 role is a big risk. You can either hit the jackpot (Cam Ward) or it can backfire beyond all belief (Dan Blackburn). Personally, I would like to see Howard as the #2 guy for a full year before he takes the #1 tag.

I don't see us getting anything better than a 4th round pick.
-
I agree 100%. Back in December when Z was out and Datsyuk and Homer were a bit slow, we kept winning because Hudler and Flip were scoring consistently. Hudler has been a big dissapointment to me, and I think we could potentially see a Jason Williams situation where Hudler is traded at the deadline, either in a package for a big name, or another depth player I'll say this again. When did our string of bad play start? The moment Cleary was injured.

I don't know, I can already see a riff between the condom and Chris Osgood. For some reason, Osgood has seemed to avoided flying rubber these past two games.....
-
I think ITS TYME to ENSTALL SPELLCHAK. But on a seious note, I sorta agree, but I think it depends on who we are able to get at the deadline. If we get someone like Prospal (who probably couldn't anchor a line by himslef) then I would mind Dats and Hank Center the top 2 lines. If we get Sundin, I don't really think we have to split them.
-
I think this all but assures that Montoya is on his way out. If the Rangers think they can make a push at the playoffs, then he is major trade bait at the deadline.
