If Aubry develops a mean streak he could be a Franzen player. Pulkkinen (Pulu) is probably a 67 overall right now with the potential of a 91 while Jarnkrok (Ironhook) is a 70 overall with a potential of 88. Jarnkrok is the most likely to reach his potential, while having sustained success while Pulu is still a gamble, but his potential seems greater. Pulu is a Hull/Oates hybrid lite. Or at least that's how he plays. Jarnkrok is eerily similar to Daniel Alfredsson and is looking like if he pans out he could be our future captain.

He seems like a 4th/5th tweener. If he fills out just a bit he could quickly become Rafalski lite with better defensive instincts (even though Rafalski's defensive awareness is vastly underrated on this board).

Gahhh Would be nice to win a defensive zone faceoff while penalty killing.... and Iidon't understand why heatley didn't have a body near him for five feet.

Thornton out for 2 minutes > Kronwall out for 2 minutes. Good work Kronners!!!

Holmstrom from Modano and Lidstrom haters gon hate

Yes... the girlfriend... that's exactly right....

Jersey Shore is on DVR.

Yes, he is. Kindl coming along nicely is already better than Ericsson. Kindl makes less mistakes than Ericsson. Who cares what is asked of them? Lidstrom and Stuart are asked way more of Ericsson and they make a fraction amount of mistakes as he does. Kindl plays with Salei 80% of the time, think if he actually played with someone of skill, he would be putting up a lot more points and have a drastically better +/- at this point. Meanwhile, Ericsson plays with the Wing's best even-strength defenseman, so of course he'll look better. Kindl > Ericsson, and a pairing of Kindl plus anyone else would show that even more than it does now.

An Office marathon goes on until 11 EST, I might miss the first period and a half....just saying.

Skills players who have been suspended this year include, and not limited to: Cammalleri, Doan, Briere, Joe Thornton, Brent Burns, Ollie Jokinen. Many "skilled" players have also been fined as well. Cal's hit from behind is something we see every game countless times and are harmless. You'll see Miller, Zetterberg, Cleary and Homer get these same hits in tonight's game. The dirty hits from behind are the ones that Crosby got from Hedman and the ones where players are a few feet away from the boards and a player crosschecks him sending him flying into the boards head first. Gillies isn't being singled about because he is an enforcer, he is being singled out because he got a game misconduct in his first game back after a lengthy suspension. Why would I address your other comments when i agree with them? Most teams do have a different playing philosophy than the Wings. Most goons can't point up points. I agree with those two statement of yours...better?

Whining about whining...classic. Whining about people who whine about whiners, even more classic. Whiners who whine about the whiners who whine about whiners, uber epic. It's the people who whine about the whiners who whine about the people who always seem to whine about the people who whine about whiners are the ones that grind my gears. Keep on whining.

Soooooo much homerism on this board from the anti-enforcer and pro-enforcer side. Obviously personal bias towards one way or the other will completely and utterly corrupt your point of view of this play, but from an analytical standpoint, 1 + 2 show it was a punch to the face. 3 shows it was not an elbow to the back and it shows the hit was from the side. Gillies does not have any skills besides being an old fashioned goon and if it weren't for the Islanders being absolute garbage, he wouldn't be in the league at all...well...the Ducks might want him. This play was dirty and I don't know how anyone could argue that. Who cares who the hit was on, the recipient is erroneous, the act by Gillies is the matter of subject at hand. It was a punch to the face and a boarding/charging/major interference/ intent to injure on a completely defenseless player. Obviously the "checking from behind" was the wrong all, but there could have been two or three calls on that one play 5 games would be too low in my opinion since this was his first game back from being super dirty and this was his fourth shift of the game on top of being a repeat offender.

It's normal practice to start your back up in a back to back

Pulu is also much younger than those two were their rookie years.

Leino, Flip Snr who's next years surprise pick up?

I thought his rights were still held by Dallas? He played very well prior to coming to North America...played very well in the AHL....and now is playing great in SML.... Maybe he is a bad apple because he definitely has loads of skill. -
My friend and her sign: Made the FSN-D telecast

Kindl > Ericsson. Salei slots in there somewhere depending on the night.

When's the last time the Wing's scored 6 or more goals in a game and then proceeded to score 3 or more the next game? Forwards played horrendous Defense played mediocre Goalie played near perfect
-
It's funny, I called him out halfway through his 5 goals game for being wayyyyyy too inconsistent and I got ostracized, now it's the cool thing to do.

Easy win.

Might as well sit the whole Wings team so they stop acting like vaginas.
